when i enquired i heard that chennai to muunar is good road, but nobody knows about munnar to ooty via chinnar road condition as of now.
has any one done that route before??
and another doubltful area is should i go ooty - kodagu without going mysore ..thats ooty - sultan batery - kodagu ( coorg)
but i had heard the road to mysore via bandipur forest is awesome

thanks in advance for all your inputs...
inputs are welcome in all points for the trip..route modifications, stay locations, must do things or must vist places or must eat delicacies..

Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

You can easily do Chennai to Munnar in one day; it's hardly 750 km

Correction - Coorg/Kudagu is district; ideally most ppl would stay at Madikeri, the biggest town. If you start little early as 5:00 AM, do the following circuit & you'll be Thankful you did...

Ooty - Mudumalai - Gudalur - Bathery - Mananthavady - Kutta - Gonikoppal - Virajpet - Madikeri; bewarned roads are shattered after Kutta; but don't let that deter this road; it's mind blowing!!!

It's Davangere; Not sure if you can do this in one day since it covers Sirsi; I could be wrong too

You can easily do Davangere - Chennai in one day

Net net, you can save 2 days from Chennai - Munnar & Davangere - Chennai & can utilize that for some other destination

I did munnar to udumalaipet via chinnar.. the roads are good.

Ooty - Mysore - Coorg I would suggest if you have time, I dont think you will miss much as most of the route will be similar. Maybe if you are lucky, instead of stopping at a "zebra crossing" you will have to stop for "elephant or deer crossing".

And like aargee said Chennai - Munnar and Devangere - Chennai can be done in a day if you are up for it.

Always have extra time to fall back on.
        Regardless, Life shall go on.

yes , even we were thinking along the same lines,
for devanagere to chennai. But thought of adding a freakout at bangalore , so added a halt there.

hi, can i know which lock you are using for securing the bike when you go for trips?
I am feeling a bit insecure , about keeping the bike at some place and roaming around, so i thought i will buy the one that you are using.
                Thanks in advance.
