  • Places to visit near Bangalore

    Hey all!
I'm a bit of a tourer and I love short trips to scenic places that I go to and change back in a day's time. I live in Bangalore and I know very few places. Could anybody pitch in and tell me a few places that I could visit in a day and come back?

Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

Bheemeshwari used to be a great ride. Its on the banks of the Cauvery river, lovely twisting roads. Also, Old Madras road is one of my favourites, especially this section near Palmaner.

However, last time I went down both these roads was many years ago, so would need confirmation from the lovely folks on the forum on the condition of the roads .....

ATGATT! There are many wonderful riders/drivers out there who would intrude in your riding space without any notice. Be prepared. Stay Safe.
