  • Bangalore to mumbai

    Hey Guys,

Have read all the threads on touring and is very inspiring.

I wish to ride from bangalore to Mumbai on my Honda Livo 110cc.. But there's a issue it's a new bike with 2500km and 2nd service done. Is it ok or good for the bike if I do such a long travel on it?
Please guide me with the tools and equipment I require to carry as I will be doing a solo trip.

    Thanks in advance.

Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

My 2 cents on your upcoming ride

        1. Yes it is doable on your bike, only 1 thing to do, do not overstress the bike at all in any case whatsoever
        2. Keep a steady pace, I guess speeds of 60-70kmph will do just fine throughout the journey. Correct me if I am wrong regarding the speed numbers I have mentioned for a 110cc motor.
        3. Keep plenty of electoral powder along with you, to fight dehydration and keep basic medicines with you.
        4. Take breaks every hour or take it when your body demands it, do not push your limits further.
        5. Are you planning to do this journey in.one.single go or you have divided the journey in 2 days ?
        6. Read the thread by old fox sir, regarding long distance riding.
        7. Do not stress yourself at all. Remember, you will eventually reach your destination, but the journey matters the most.
        8. Take basic tools along and be ready to do small DIYs if in case like chain tightening, headlamp bulb change, clutch cable change.
        9. Since the headlamps are weak, watch out for late night riding. Call it off by 7 or 8 pm max.

        Cheers,
        Sanjay
