Places to Visit near Delhi under 250km on bikes.
I am planning a trip on 25th January 2015.
I have planned it for Agra , visiting taj mahal, Fateh pur sikri, Lal Quila.
But i want a back up plan As may Be all above will remain close for Mr. Obama security reasons.
We are not wiling to go Jaipur.
We thought for rishikesh as a back up plan, but we will not be able to fun over there as no rafting and all. we would love enjoy the route. thought for Landowne but nothing fixed yet.
it will one night stay and back to delhi by late evening.
Any Suggestions Please.

Re: Places to Visit near Delhi under 250km on bikes.
That is one weekend i wouldn\\\\\\\'t be willing to ride anywhere. What with half the city doing the exact same thing and tightened security to boot. It will sure not be a hoot to get out of the city and traffic jams will abound.Originally posted by Harsh0162 View PostI am planning a trip on 25th January 2015.

Though if you wish to ride out, i would suggest maybe the colder climes of Dhanaulti in UK, a small little irrelevant town, going from nowhere and coming from nowhere. Go there only if you are interested in the ride. You can go via Dehradun and return via Rishikesh. You can also ride out to Tehri Dam reservoir on the return journey or such.Last edited by The Monk; 01-22-2015, 06:48 PM.Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!
Give your details here if you want to help your fellow xBhpian stranded in your city

Nainital/Ranikhet/Chail/Mussoorie/Chakrata/Dhanaulti/RenukaJi/TattaPaani/Shimla (will be crowded but might have snow there or a few km up)Originally posted by Harsh0162 View PostI am planning a trip on 25th January 2015.

Take your pick. All of them can be done within a day of moderate riding.
Avoid Agra I say. Obama might want the whole place to himself and geared up bikers will attract unnecessary attention of the security guys in Agra.Last edited by Mik; 01-22-2015, 06:49 PM.

Re: 3-4 Day Getaways from Delhi
Hey Guys,
I am planning to visit Rishikesh during the coming weekend( Jan31st to Feb 2) . Is this a good time to visit Rishikesh ( It is ok if rafting is unavailable ) ? Should i be taking the default route shown in GooMaps ( Muzzafar nagar -> roorkee ->) or is there any other better route. I have duke 390 so please let me know if I need to be careful about anything. Any suggestions are most welcome.

Well I did the trip to Rishikesh. Lesser crowd at this time and easy availability of camps. The roads between muzzaffarnagar and roorke are under construction otherwise it was ok overallOriginally posted by faizan.ali View PostHey Guys,

Re: One day gateways from delhi?
Touring Itinerary topic approved.
On the west, there is Alwar and the Neemrana Fort Palace. Its a beautiful place to relax, have some fun, meet foreigners, but its slightly expensive. Not more than Rs. 2000 per head though, don't know about latest rates though.
Its about 110 kms from Delhi.
On the South-East, you can go to Agra, on the Agra Expressway. Its about 165 kms, but its an open speedy road. The Duke guy's gonna have a blast here.
On the North, there is Ambala, but I'm not sure about the visit-able locations.
If you speed up well, and start in the early morning, you could visit Nainital or Jim Corbett NP. But again, this might tire you, but it will be worth it.
More on this topic can be suggested by Delhi Xbhpians... MikLast edited by Samarth 619; 03-25-2015, 12:08 AM.---
