    Need suggestion for solo ride

    Hello everyone, I will be travelling solo on my RTR160 for 5 days.

    My current plan is Bangalore-Kanyakumari(2 nights)-Dhanushkodi-Pondicherry-Mahabalipuram-Bangalore

    I need some suggestions for itinerary or route if any that needs to be avoided. I usually start my journey at 5.30am and I am pretty much a soft rider with 50kmph average including breaks.

    Kindly help with your suggestions and any route change is required.

    If its a busy highway, try doing 60-70 kmph, or stay in the left most lane, as other vehicles might also overtake you a lot, and that also poses a risk.

      Hi thanks for approving. Yes I ride in between 70-85kmph. I said 50kmph based on breaks and previous time/distance ratio

        Follow google maps.
        • Be attentive near Salem as there are diversions.
        • Till Madurai road is great, try keeping up speeds above 80.
        • Be prepared for the rains.
        • Take Virudhunagar road after Madurai till Kanyakumari. You might face crosswinds on this stretch so ride carefully.
        • Leave early from Kanyakumari to Rameshwaram, Best time for you to visit Dhanushkodi will be after 4:00 PM, But do check out weather.
        • From Rameshwaram take Tiruchirpalli route for Pondicherry.
        • After Mahalipuram take Kanchipuram route which meets near Vellore then to Krishnagiri - Bangalore.
