Re: The Tyre Pressure Thread!
First clean inner surface of that cut. Then push butyl rubber ( kaccha rubber ) in that cut. Then blow hot air using hair dryer until butyl rubber becomes hard , this may work!Originally posted by tuffswooshsamy View PostHi Guys

Re: The Tyre Pressure Thread!
Unfortunately MRFs are prone to cut marks like these, though they aren't a big concern, but they can in fact expand slowly and steadily and in fact end up worse. I'd suggest you replace your tyre under warranty if you can or you can use puncture sealants inside the tire for peace of mind. You can take it to your SVC and push for a replacement under warranty, though it'd be hard to convince them, you can try your luck.Originally posted by tuffswooshsamy View PostHi Guys

Re: The Tyre Pressure Thread!
You can probably get Google tire sealants and they are pretty much self applicable, these days. You have SLIME and you have many brands here in India itself, one that comes to my mind after popular marketing is this. Check it out.Originally posted by tuffswooshsamy View PostThanks For the advice.Already raised a complaint with Bajaj customer care.Let's see what happens.About the tyre sealant, can you guide me to any thread on that.

Re: The Tyre Pressure Thread!
Can anyone suggest a good tyre sealant? I've switched to tubeless(Michelin City) from Tube type(Zapper C) on my SS-125 without changing the rim. Size is 100/80.A bike on the road is worth two in the shed.

Re: The Tyre Pressure Thread!
There aren't any specific brand here in India, you have lots of them retailing at e-commerce sites, I'd suggest SEELIN and Slime as they have very good reviews. The TYRE PROTECTOR sealants though have been tested by ARAI.

Re: The Tyre Pressure Thread!
Guys, (hope the thread is alive!)
I have been riding Suzuki GS150r for 65K kms plus and used the stock tyres till about 61500kms. a few things -
0) GS150r comes with Zapper Y tyres (TT). Have been using 25psi/35psi pressure all throughout, felt comfortable at this setting, no issues. Stock suspension was maintained at level 3 (mid), but started leaking by 40K kms and performance was deteriorating.
I changed 2 things here -
1) @ around 55K kms, switched the rear shock absorbers to RTR's. The reason - wanted to get used to a different manufacturer's shocks which i would get easier than GS's.
Since the RTR's were stiffer than stock GS shocks, i rode at the 2nd softest level and ride was okay. (Combination - RTR+MRF ZapperY (25F/35R) pressure). Now i started seeing increased tyre wear. In fact tyre was facing wear only now, and braking and grip was also improved.
2) @ 61.5K kms, replaced both tyres to Michelin TL. For the rear, i used a increased width Sirac Street (110/90) instead of stock (100/90). Front was stock size pilot street.
Now, both these tyres are Bias Ply and im facing a tough time deciding the air pressures for a comfortable ride which i experienced earlier!
Ride feels harsh at times, i fill up air once a week along with petrol and ride feels better immediately after filling, but gets harsh later on.
Im guessing that air pressure is playing a big part here, maybe even my seat! Should i go for higher air pressures in the tyres like 40psi? or maybe try a softer seat? or could it be some issue with the front fork?
Any ideas to test and isolate the cause?

PSI recommendation for new tyres
Hi,
I've upsized front from 100/80 to 110/70
And Rear from 130/70 to 140/70
For the stock PSI was 25 single and 28 with pillion for front
And Rear was 28 single and 32 with pillion
Now how much air should I fill
I have a Pulsar AS200.
Rear tyre is MRF Masseter 140/70
Front tyre is MRF REVZ FC1 110/70.
TIA.

Re: The Tyre Pressure Thread!
Model apache 160 4v
Tyre size- front 90/90
Rear-130/70 ( same as apache 200)
I do not have the owners manual as mine was the first lot so please tell the recommended pressure. I'm currently running on 25 front and 35 at the back.

Re: The Tyre Pressure Thread!
Hi Guys,
I have a question regarding Tyre pressure.
I have an Apache RTR 180. The front tyre is the stock one, 6 years old. Rear tyre is a new one, about an year old.
I inflated my tyres two days back at a Petrol pump. He inflated the front to 35PSI and the rear to 40PSI which I thought was normal since that is how much it is inflated at most petrol pumps. Later noticed the normal tyre pressures online :P.
Yesterday, my front tyre went flat in the morning, but my back tyre was normal.
This happened to me before too.
When I again inflated the front tyre to a lesser pressure, the tyre stayed normal and did not deflate.
Does this indicate a problem with the front tyre (since it is 6 years old)? Or just due to over inflation? Should I be replacing the front tyre?
Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Re: The Tyre Pressure Thread!
That's the reason why tires deflate during running and cause accidents. Most trust the pump wala filler too confidently. It's a six year old tire, it's due for replacement, irrespective of its condition, especially after the deflation you've experienced.Originally posted by Ritesh Dumpala View PostHi Guys,

Front tire is very crucial for grip and handling. I'd suggest replacing your front tire.
Cheers!
