2018 would work fine i have spoken with my dealer friend because of whom i was the first one to get the very first set of Alpha h1 in Delhi. Still if u wish to find fresh stock he recommends contacting the company. Here in Delhi it is selling in good numbers and his stock gets over sooner then expected.

Don't go for older stocks. Mine front tyre lost his tread just in 10k.
For my experience not worth for the money. Michelin PSR is Best bet.Click image for larger version

        Totally Agree on this.
All the dealers at least in Bangalore have stocks from 2018. I had a friends friend who works in Apollo mention that the Apollo itself has stopped production of these tyres from 2019 as they have to sell the older stocks from 2018.

I finally got myself a Michelin Pilot Street <6 months old tyre (2019). Thing i noticed is whenever i ask for the manufacture date, they give you a stare, i am like what the hell. I am paying you ain't I?

How about Apollo Alpha? I am not a regular rider and am replacing tyres after about five and a half years for the first time. I am looking for a reasonably priced rear tyre for my CBR 150R. Any leads will help.
Is that a good tyre in comparison to the H1? The official website say that the Alpha ones have reinforcing steel belt and provide best mileage in their class (need to confirm).

H1 are very good but i suggest u stick to the stock size h1 is only available in 150 section. For cbr150 go for Apollo alpha s1 series in stock size.

Well that is Alpha S1 , bit cheaper and dual compound. One friend is using it on his Mojo and is very happy with all kind of grip(wet/dry, muck). S1 is also available in 130 section.

                  Re: Apollo Alpha H1.

Apollo H1 tyres are the best bike tyres for every motorcycle. They have used the latest technology in its manufacturing and was my first choice for my bike. Since the time I have replaced the tyres with Apollo H1, I am very happy and enjoying my rides. It provides perfect stability and grip, which are needed at the time of high speed. Therefore, I would recommend everyone to visit their website and choose the best tyres for your bike.

                      Hi Inderjeet,

I am looking to change my Avenger 220 cruise tyres from tube to tubeless (for ease of mending punctures on long rides).

                      Three questions:

                      1. Which tyres are the best for dry and wet grip? (I prefer riding between 80 and 90 kmph on highways) (will be taking the bike to leh ladakh next year)

                      2. My stock tyres were MRF Nylogrip Zapper (90/90 - 17 & 130/90-17). It has done good duty for the past 45,000 km albeit on dry grip roads with decent tarmac. Should I purchase them again? Some tyre dealer suggested CONTINENTAL tyres. I understand they are good tyres for a car but for a bike I have my doubts. Kindly clarify.

                      3. Is upsizing tyres a good option?

                      Cheers!!!
                      Cheers!!!

Up sizing on avenger 220 not recommend.
Stick with stock size. Go for Apollo the newly launched ones or metro street hawk(Continental). Both of these are better than zapper in wet. Apollo is better.
Tubeless conversation only possible if u upgrade to alloys from avenger street or some good after market brand.

                          Dear Inderjeet

Will stick with the stock size then.

Yeah I am going to upgrade to alloys for tubeless tyres. Is it possible for you to refer someone like your friend who deals with alloys for Avenger too. If possible can get it from him. Is the mobile number of your friend listed in this thread the same? I will go for Apollo as you said
                          Cheers!!!

                                Hi IJS

I have a doubt regarding the product.

Front tyre size is: 90/90 - 17 (tube)
                                Rear tyre is: 130/90 - 15 (tube)

I will be changing from tube to tubeless but Bimaljeet bayya has not got Apollo H1 for this size and told me about Apollo Actizip series. Kindly give your opinion.

Actizip F2 for front (other option Michelin Pilot Sporty)
Actizip R5 for rear (other option Michelin Metro Street Hawk)

                                Cheers!!!
