Anyone has any experience with Tvs ProTorq tyres?
Just saw them at a dealership. The tread pattern looked nice and it was also economical. A 110/70-17 was quoted at 1900.
Remember it's TVS that made Michelin's for Michelin. Their Remora and ProTorq are all made in the same facility. ProTorq being the upper motorcycle spectrum, vis a vis, the Masseter, Michelin Pilot Street Radial. Though I haven't gotten any hands on experience, they have a state-of-the-art facility with excellent manufacturing processes for the ProTorq series which should see better life on the road. I'd suggest, you definitely go for it if your budget allows and do post your detailed review along.

Nope, I haven't used Ceat Zoom tyres, but gave it a critical look at the last IBW when they were launched and was impressed by the tyre quality, construction and price. But as they say, the proof is in eating the pudding, so should you decide to opt for these tyres, please do post your review.
I have used non radial ceat zoom tyres & believe me they were the worst tyres ever i used. Uneven wear , low life , puncture prone ....
Have anyone used Ceat Zoom Rad X1 tyres both front and rear. I need for my Dominar. Is it better than MRF REVZ C1 tyres? Any idea about grip on wet roads while cornering.

I am running on Masseter on rear and MRF FC1 at front. Drives great.
Masseter takes some time and heat to show its real capabilities. I am more impressed by fc-1. Good cornering, braking distance is good, gives good look, gives a good ride height.
But let me tell you recently I had a slight slip with this combination. What I felt was both tyres weren't in sync. I was doing hard cornering when I felt a little skid from rear as front had a good grip.
Both tyres are in good conditions. One of the cause may be tyres weren't hot enough (it was cold, winter night time)
The Masseter is of a bias belt construction whereas the revz fc1 is a radial . Isn't it wrong to combine a radial front and a bias belt rear tyre? Maybe that might be the reason it skid or the feeling that they are not in sync !!
But the issue with masseter is that there is no front tyre of the same brand.I wanted to go with same tyres on both the wheels and did not want a mix and match.

No problem with different manufacturer. Since both sizes are different. I use Michelin radials front and mrf zapper s rear on my ns200 .
Maximum usable tyre life is 3 yrs , so better buy a new manufactured tyre
Mrf Massetor is good tyre.

Hello guys,
I am looking for a tyre replacement on my cbr 250r .Was specifically looking for diablo rosso 2 tyres but the stock available for cbr size is from 2015. Will getting tyres that old be a concern ?
Also I saw a new model Angel CT that has been launched by pirelli, any one has used the same and how is the experience?
Any other options ? Michellins are a no no.
Sport demons are also of 2015 stock.

I got the front for just 2650 + fitting 100 @ authorised MRF store, Mundra-Gujarat
Manufacturing week/year - 52/17
The guy just took 50 rs extra as commission and his consignment was delivered in front of me, i.e. It wasn't even taken inside the shop, directly fitted to my bike
Lolz!Guess i am being duped too
Though my Metzelers are running fine with 6.9k on my odo,had inquired the price of the FC1 and C1 from the tyre guy while the getting the rear tube of my Avenger220 changed.
Guess one has to bargain for all its worth.
Here the MRF Revz ARE MUCH MUCH CHEAPER-fc1 at 3200 and C1 at 4150
And the H rated Metzeler rear is 5000
Fitting charges are 150 for both the tyres-balancing is extra.
Looks like you have been throughly duped by your tyre guy
Beware

He may be duped but satisfaction of mind and safety is more important to me. In market, unsold tyres which has older manufacturing date are sold with huge discounts. I suggest you all guys not to buy that.
Tyres replacement in 10k kms [emoji47]
I can easily get at least 20kkms with Michelin even in worst case.
It's 20kkms and still front metz haven't given yet.
Either you are driving like crazy (take it lightly if its yes [emoji4] ) or something wrong with bike.
And yes you can get Michelin tyre set in 9k fitted.
Metz is a soft compound tyre which sticks to road like a leech. You can feel the grip even riding normally, especially while accelerating hard or pushing your bike above 130kmph. You just check with different tyres to understand what a tyre can do to a bike's overall handling performance. You will be amazed for sure. Michelins are somewhat medium compound tyres and MRFs are somewhat medium to hard compound tyres IMO.
One of my friend's duke 390 has done just 5.5k km, now the rear tyre has gone bald. What he does is WOT all times.
Hi,
I have used MRF RevZ C I think. The tyre was advertised as made for Duke 390. I got offer from Amazon for Rs. 5400 for a rear tyre. But I just bought directly from tyre dealer for Rs. 7800 including installation. Reason: When you buy directly, there is an option to check tyre condition, mainly tyre manufactured month and year which is critical for tyre safety. Tyres tend to crack, become hard over time and it is best to buy tyres with latest manufacturing date. My previous MRF have failed, older manufactured date might be also a reason I doubt. I haven't checked the date while buying MRF.
The performance between MRF and Metzeler was a world apart. Even Michelin can't hold a light( I was michelin fan early).
Switching from Metz to MRF to Metz taught me much about how a tyre can drastically change the bike's handling, braking and stability. Front tyre is due for a change now. I have started saving.
PS: My bike running expense has easily crossed my car's.
Duke 390 mileage per liter 25 kmpl for average riding. Petrol Rs. 75/ltr. Running cost per km Rs. 3
Both the tyres would need a replacement in 10k km. Both the tyre cost Rs. 15200 Running cost per km. Rs. 1.5
Total Rs. 4.5 per km.
My car running cost is Rs. 0.33/km for tyre and diesel Rs. 3.25
Total Rs. 3.58 per km.
But I will never let her be in rest. Because I will never be in rest. Work hard. Ride hard.
