      • Waited for replies but no one replied here so went and got my ZMA tyres changed to Michelin Sirac Street.

        Front 2.75 Sirac Street = 1700
        Rear 100/90 - 18 Sirac Street = 2150
        Total = 3850 for Tyre + Tube + Fixing

        • hi iam looking for both front and rear tyre replacement for rtr160
initially thought of changing rear only but now decided to change both

          shortlisted below:

pilot sporty -- my sizes doesn't match up with sizes shown in web

sirac street -- only rear ie 100/90 shown in web and have to find front fitment that sync with this kind of rear(thinking of zapper fs)

sport demon -- it seems some international web does have my sizes but ind web doesn't have and have up-size and all though its very costly

mrf zapper q -- if decided to go with it and how good would it be with zapper fs front fitment

          other options are also welcomed

          tyre sizes : f 90/90 17"
          r 100/80 18"

          • update:

just now visited Tyre arena near my home (Michellin dealer)

            quoted:
            for rear Sirac Street 100/90-18 - 2200

for front Pilot Sporty 3.00/17 universal size ie doesn't have proper
grooves(but i have doubt whether it is same size to 90/90)
            quoted price 1800

for front Pilot Sporty 2.75/17 exclusive front fitment does have 2
grooves( but seriously down sizing and might affect handling)

so rear is ok because we dont have much options in 100/80
only confusion with front whether to go with 3.00/17 universal or 2.75/17 or scrap michellin and go for 90/90 from mrf ie zapper fs

            • Guys,

Looking for new shoes for my Discover 125, currently shod with 3.00 17" Ceat Zoom.
Would 100/80 or 90 be a good fit on the current rim or do I have to stick with 3.00.
I did come across a Michelin 100/90 17 Pilot Sporty at 2200 without tube , is the price right or a rip off.

Is Zapper 100/80 17" available in the market and will it fit the Discover?

              Any other tire suggestions?

              Regards,

              KK

Pilot sporty is really a good tyre in terms on wet & dry grip.
i got it fixed on my twister before 3 months at a cost of 2100rs.
Comparing to pilot sporty, Zapper is less in performance due to hard material

                  • Want to change the rear tyre of my 2008 Karizma. Is it advisable to change the front tyre too?
Suggest me a good 120/70(is it a good upgrade?) tyre. Budget is not a big constraint but availability of all brands is.

then go for Pirelli that's good in performance & sports look

                        • Tubeless tyres for passion pro 2011

                          Hello to all Xbhpian......

I am looking for some good & expert advice from all of you great people....

I want to change stock tyre of my passion pro... to tubeless ... as i am staying in delhi.. but enable to find the same dimensions as similar to stock tyre ....

For information currently rear tyre is 3.00 *18 & front is 2.75*18.

Before giving suggestion please keep in mind that alloy wheel is 18" inc (dimension) & i know 100/90*18 is easily available.. the only things worried me about tyre up-gradation which will effect pick and mileage too.... Please throw some light on this...

Please suggest for some good options.. and shop in delhi...

                          Thanks

                            @Raj,
I was looking at 100/80 Zapper was it's profile is a lot smaller and not as wide as the Pilot sporty , as I don't want the tire to scrape the swing arm. I will look for Zapper for a little longer else I'll settle for Michelin
