Ill come back with details of dunlop tires. Irc the ones which came on the 220stock in the older batches, wears out fast and not so good on grip..wildfire as you have been telling..so hard to source..
Yes..michilins are purely city road tires..the profile dint seem to support some cornering action or offroading.
My friend is rolling on a michilin front and dunlop back setup..ill ask a feedback frm him too.
Cheers

Having little confusion guys, plz help. In 100/90-17, 100 is width of contact patch in mm and 90 is profile, as aspect ratio and 17 is rim size. Here 90 can be said as 90% of contact patch i.e. 90mm, right? And if my understanding till now is right then, front tyre of R15 v1 & v2 i.e. 80/90-17 & 90/80-17, respectively have same profile, in terms of mm.. Am I right??

Considering just the tyres alone the V1 tyre has width of 90mm and a side profile of 72mm, and the V2 has a width of 80mm and side profile of 72mm again.Originally posted by Honda_CBF View Post, front tyre of R15 v1 & v2 i.e. 80/90-17 & 90/80-17, respectively have same profile, in terms of mm.. But, a lot of the final profile formed depends on the width of the rim, a thinner rim width will yield a taller profile since the tyre is more squeezed. And similarly a wider rim width will have a lesser side profile since the tyre is more 'spread'_________________________

okay.. Thanks a lot bro. So how to know the size/width of rim? Actually I'm thinking of putting R15 tyres on stunnerOriginally posted by Praful View PostConsidering just the tyres alone the V1 tyre has width of 90mm and a side profile of 72mm, and the V2 has a width of 80mm and side profile of 72mm again. But, a lot of the final profile formed depends on the width of the rim, a thinner rim width will yield a taller profile since the tyre is more squeezed. and don't want my speedo or gearing to go out of spec.

Two options, either open up the rims for both Stunner & R15 and find out the respective rim-widths if its not specified in the manuals of either bikes.
Else you can visually see the rim and see if there is a significant/minor difference in rim-width. If there is a minor difference in width, it mostly will not affect the gearing/speedo by a margin large enough to make any perceptible difference.
Also, if you can source the data where the tyre manufacturer recommends the optimum rim widthLast edited by Praful; 03-04-2013, 01:01 PM._________________________

Tyres for RE Classic 350
Hello guys,
I was wondering whether tubeless tyres or tuff up tyres are available for Classic 350? I read in many places that, for tubeless tyres, I need to change my rim from stock to Alloy ones. Is it really necessary?-Aakaash Jois

Yes ! You can't use tubeless tyre as Tubeless on spoke wheels easily, its always recommended to have alloys to use tubeless tyres.Originally posted by aakaashjois View PostHello guys,
