  • Re: Which bike tyre is best

Hello every one, i own a honda dazzler and am planning to change my tyres (both). Looking for good grip and decent life.

    Present Spec:
    Front :- MRF zapper fq 80/100 r17
    Rear :- MRF Zapper c 110/80 r17

i want to avoid speedo and trip meter error.

Front:- I am considering Zapper FX or Zapper Y1 for front but zapper fx is available in 100/80 not in 80/100, FY1 is only available in 90/90. worried if this can cause error.

Rear:- I am considering Zapper vyde 120/80 and zapper S 100/80.

how much effect will these have on my fuel economy?

I am open to other options. PLease suggest.

      HI chinmayachaitanya

never fiddle with the front tyre aspect ratio. use always stock size. afaik, the dazzler front tyre is very good . Until u use stock size there wont be any speedo error.

for rear downgrading the size is a bad idea, instead u can go for 120 section. Vyde which is one of the best tyres in MRF . there will be slight reduction in mileage say 2kmpl, but the handling and comfort will be very good.

Hey Guys, It is time for another tyre change. Slightly disappointed with the previous Zappers(FS and Y- OEM sizes), made for a very twitchy front end even though the pressures were set according to the optimum pressure.

How is the Zapper FQ(2.75/18) and Zapper Q(OEM size)? Is is available in TL form? the bike is used on the tarmac 99% of its life. Any other suggestions for HH karizma? I want to stick to the OEM size.
What do I intend to do? Stuff ZMR drivetrain into an Ambition chassis and watch others run scared!

as fas as front is concerned, the stock tyre is the best in 18"

Go for MRF Vyde if u need excellent grip but liffe would be little less since it is a soft compound.

Hey bro...I recently changed my both tyres to CEAT zoom. Front 80/100 secura zoom rear 120/80 both tubeless. I am using these for around a month now without any problem. As MRF are out of stock so these were the best find. Go for it you wont regret but make sure to fill in Nitrogen will make your ride smooth and make you feel planted on the tarmac. There is no drop in mileage for me.

Section difference is a lot.I mean, FX is the stock tyre of FZ which is quite fat. Not sure if height will vary which may cause error.

You wanted front tyre for karizma, right?
Is that a sirac street, OEM size?
Cuz I bought sirac street oem size for 1900 with tubes in 2013. How did you end up paying 3750?

Just for my knowledge, did you use sirac street in your zmr?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I feel that its grip and handling is amongst the best for zmr. As soon as I installed it, the motorcycle was more eager to lean in a corner. Also it gives more confidence than stock front tire.
In case you tend to use something other than sirac street, can you state your reasons?
