    bhai Puncture wala guys try to scam you.they intentionally break the valve stem while removing tube from the tyre so be careful next time onwards.stay with him all the time and tell him to be gentle. happened to me 2-3 times so eventually figured it out.
    i guess the tube you are using now is safe.i guess i am using the same on my TB500. Other members can advice better.

      Tyre repair guys in Pune, regularly used to do this Valve Stem Step and coax you to get a replacement tube.

      Your Tyre is 120/80-18 and the Tube is 100/90-18, clearly the tube is not upto the width and short by a lot.

      Cons: Tube will not inflate enough to support the tyre as manufacturer designed it to be.
      Tube may over inflate and combined with summer heat may cause unusual wear and tear.
      Tube may tend to roll inside tyre (yes i happens, but at minuscule units) causing stretch induced punctures.

      Pros: None that i can think of other than it was a Jugaad that got you back on track.

      Get the tube changed up to specifications when time permits you to, keep the old tube with you later to use in same situation!

      Appending: Did you say stock spec was 30/32 psi F/R solo because as far as I can confirm its:-
      Front- Solo: 1.41 Kg/cm2 (20 PSI) Pillion: 1.55 Kg/cm2 (22 PSI)
      Rear- Solo: 2.11 Kg/cm2 (30 PSI) Pillion: 2.25 Kg/cm2 (32 PSI)

      I remember because I have a hard time convincing each and every tyre guy i visit that i need 22PSI in Front tyre and they too have a hard time believing it!

        Sorry My bad. You are right, the front is 20-22psi and rear is 30-32psi.

          Scooter tyre.

          Hello friends. I have a Hero Maestro and I am looking for a good rear tyre and my existing one has worn out after long 24500 kms. I saw a CEAT GRIPP tyre on many scooters but a mechanic told me that the scooter wobbles if that tyre is installed. So I am confused.

          I am open to tubeless and tube tyre.
          I am located in Kandivali, Mumbai.

            Replacement tyres

            Hello. Am using apache rtr 160, one and a half years old and 22k km done. Using stock tyres currently and i noticed few cracks on the tyres. Guess it's worn out. Need a suggestion for the replacement. Within 3k- good grip and decent life span are my expectations! Am from Chennai and my ride is mixed with some of the best roads in India and the worst ones too! xD

Am from Chennai and my riding will be mixed with some of the best roads in India and the worst ones too! I recently noticed a few cracks in my rear tyre. Guess they've worn out and so am looking out for replacements. What tyre would be the best? Am using the stock tyres now and i will be moving to 120/80-17 tyre. The stock size is 110/80-17. My expectations will be that it must provide a good grip, a decent life and must be under 3k!

                Anywhere between 15-20k. Depends upon your riding style & tyre pressure you prefer.

                    @Bala Subramaniam You can get MRF's, but one of your wheel is 18" so will have to see what choices are there... Probably the old Unicorn's stock tyres should fit well.

                        I checked out a few MRF shops in Bangalore to see if they had stock of the REVZ series. I was looking for
                        • Front – MRF Revz FC1 : 110/70 R17 - Rs.3100/-
                        • Rear – MRF Revz C1 : 150/60 R17 - Rs.4500/-

                        They showed two models for the same.                             One of friend has recently fitted this tyre. Price was 13k/set. Grip is phenomenal but as it is soft compound tyre it's life is somewhat 8-9k kms.

                              New Tyres for KTM Duke 200

                              Hey guys!

                              I am looking for new tyres for my D200 and ready to spend max 10Ks! I am more of a tourer so looking for a tyre thats good both for highways and off roads to an extent! Its nt that I will be doing Ladakh regions every now and than, but if required these tyres shouldnt disappoint! As after spending 10Ks i dont want to experiment with changing tyres for different regions, since i dont have that kindda money neither the space to store the spare set of tyres at my place .

                              Or i am not aware if such post already exist so please redirect me to the post if available.

                              P.S. Ladakh was just an example for bad road!
