The first one is front 110-70/17 and costs Rs.2900/-.Second one is also front and same size and costs Rs.3100/-
The third one has two types, both 150-60/17 for rear and costs the same.

Which one should I choose? Please help
    Sorry for the bad pics

    Thank you
Regards to the front tyre the later costing 3100₹ is radial. So please choose that.

And the rear tyre from the pics seems to differ only by thread patterns. So choose which one you like. The tyre in the left side seems to be of new pattern. Confirm if it's radial.

Its nt that I will be doing Ladakh regions every now and than, but if required these tyres shouldnt disappoint! As after spending 10Ks i dont want to experiment with changing tyres for different regions, since i dont have that kindda money neither the space to store the spare set of tyres at my place .

Or i am not aware if such post already exist so please redirect me to the post if available.

      Thank you in advance!

P.S. Ladakh was just an example for bad road!
Mrf revz radial the best vfm tyres. Costs 7-8k₹ pair. Michelin pilot street radial the next best thing for 10k₹ pair. But both can't handle roads with gravels or too much fine sand.

      • Tyres with better grip even on wet road (Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350)

I live in Meghalaya (Home of clouds)

Have realized the provided tyres suck big time if they get wet.

Kindly suggest alternate tyres for Thunderbird 350 keeping in mind I'll be riding on wet roads most of the time

Kush Kurkalang's Topic Approved & merged with Tyres' Universal Topic.

The general rule is that mostly any close resemblance tyre will fit if the rim sizes match, like 17 inch, 18 inch, 19 inch.

The more grooves and cut sections the tyre will have, the more it will be grippy on mud, sands, bad roads, etc... Less grooves would mean it should be more grippy on the plain road.
Secondly, tyre compound also matters. Soft compound grip well and wear quickly.
Hard compound last longer, give less performance resistance and enhance engine's performance, but they grip worse than soft tyres.

So, you can choose your own tyre from the market.... Just keep the rim size same as before, and avoid too wide a tyre...

I live in Shillong, Meghalaya(Home of clouds), about to get Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350.

From gathered information it seems it's tyres don't have good grip on wet roads.

Kindly suggest Wider or at least of size 120/80-18" rear tyre with better grip for wet surface and also a front tyre of 90/90-19" with better grip for wet surface.

            Looking forward to be enlightened

No need to change anything right away, the stock tyres are not bad but not great either. They are certainly good on dry sand free roads but don't have lot of grip on wet surface or when there is sand. If you don't try anything adventurous then you can live with them for few thousand kms then think of changing to MRF Mogrip or Ceat.

I have been using Michelin Pilot sport rear tyres on my FZ-16 for a little more than 4k Kms and the front is on stock MRF Revz.

I have noticed a considerable improvement in the grip level and flickablity (due to a rounder profile than stock tyres), however the I fell the stock MRF's were better on wet roads.

One more thing I noticed is that, the Michelins take a very long time to reach their optimum operating temperature. I have been commuting mostly in the nights and for the first 10-15 kms I feel as if I am running on a hard rubber. Even during the day time it takes a full 15-20 mins of Chennai heat for the tyres to get going, but after that it gets a way lot better.
