@ Chetan: I called up at Metro tyres he told that in the sizes of 100 or 110 (for rear tyre) the options available are SM Racing and Kings..!!
And for the Front IRC(90/90*18") is available and that is for 2400/- + 100 or 150 Trasportation(not courier) cost..!! Too costly yaar..!!
Just Check these too..!! Duro HF-918..looks good for normal road conditions..Last edited by inder.cool; 03-13-2009, 03:07 PM.

Hmm yaa.... I would say better go for rear Zapper Q (120/80 x 18" in tubeless) (if its available) .... and for front wait for sometime.Originally posted by inder.cool View Post@ Chetan: I called up at Metro tyres he told that in the sizes of 100 or 110 (for rear tyre) the options available are SM Racing and Kings..!!

Or you will have to get the IRC tyres shipped from bangalore (as seen on the other website on a CBZ-X)
You can go for Duro... they are good.... some ppl have used them for a very long time. But the compound is pretty hard AFAIK. Check out the costs at Metro tyres, Mumbai or somewhere in Pune. Btw.. thats the same model Sumit had on his V1 a couple of years back... which he used for 40k kms... and they were still going good

He was using tubeless tyres..!!??? And would these hard compound tyres lessen the performance of the bike..???Originally posted by chetanpulsar View PostYou can go for Duro... they are good.... some ppl have used them for a very long time. Nope he was using with tube as he has spoke wheels....... hard compound means less sticky.... less grip.... thats the funda.Originally posted by inder.cool View PostYa trying to get these..!!

hello guyz..
dont u think 120 can reduce the grip on the bike which has a stock of 100.. eg. ZMA..!
i had tried 120 DUnlop Geo-Cruiser.. the grip was not that good as far as what i have experienced.. thats the reason i have installed a 110 MRF Meteor.. which is much better.. nice grip.. no tweaks required.. what i feel is 120 may lead in a slight flex on the circumference/edge of the tyre as the rim is smaller than the expected tyre, which may lead in reducing traction..
well , thats what my point of view is.. ! bigger tyre may look nice, feel grippy but actually wont wrap tightly to the rim..

It depends on the compound of the tyre.... Geo-cruiser is a pathetic tyre if you compare to MRF tyres (AFAIK-in terms of rubber compound used). Geo-cruiser does not wear out even after 25k kms (personal experience).... MRF tyres wear out in 15-20k kms. Hence the difference.Chetan

Just wait for some more ppl to comment on the performance of Duro tyres. Or check on some other international forums. In the mean while I will call up Sumit to ask him about his experience with the Duro.Originally posted by inder.cool View PostIf its not grippy then its of no use..!! f**k it errrr chuck it..!!

I guess all MRF tyres are same compound based.... its just that the new series Meteor (for off-roading) which has a different compound (and the grip style is pretty good to give a lot of grip on normal surfaces as compared to Geo-cruiser).Originally posted by rachitkohli View Posti agree to the Geo-Cruiser part.. it being pathetic..
