i guess maybe bad roads.the roads in my area has more number of craters than on the moon.Originally posted by inder.cool View PostCracks..!!??? Any specific reason by which those cracks were created which you could share..
I think the m45 is the best tyre money can buy for the zma,as it has more load carrying capacity and top of all its lighter than other tyres in the same category.Last edited by velociraptor13; 03-13-2009, 07:19 PM.Socha Toh Locha.

wen i went to a local tyre dealer for changin my friend's 100/90.to 120/80,,he said: ''thicker tyres are better((like 100/90 better then 100/80)) coz it gives more height at d back, n increaces bike's acceleration...
IS THAT SO..
wel i thought,,lean tyres imparts more grip wile cornering...like 140/60..
..
i own a RTR, 6700 driven, 5 months old,,,,n d REAR TYRE is not good..so i wanna change them.....NOW D REAL PROBLEM is to change stock fitted 100/80 wid wat??....
one thing which i experienced drivin apache with a pillion, it's handling CORNERING control becomes much superior than single driving.!! why is it so??
IS IT BECAUSE OF HEAVIER REAR SECTION OF MY BIKE, DUE TO A PILLION....if it's so then should i change it with 100/90 or 110/90......(dont want to compromise with d acceleration n mileage)..or i go with 120/80???........................
BIG QUESTION FOR ME
n also, if i simultaneously change my front tyres(90/90) with 100/80 of FZ,,den what will b the scene.....how much will it affect my handling n control n most importantly FUEL EFFICEINCY....overall....
Why take LIFE too SERIOUS,
You won't ESCAPE it ALIVE anyway !!

R15 Tyres rock on any bike (atleast on pulsars)
Just rode Waseem's (XBHP id : waseem46) P180Ug3 LE with the R15 tyres fitted on the rear and front. and the whole bad handling part of the pulsar just dissappeared.
Great for Inclining and cornering.
No Loss of Grip whatsoever on tarmac. It felt as if the bike became a little lighter (I have not rode his bike before so dont know, but comparing to the pulsar 180 UG3 with stock tyres)
Though felt it would have a little problem in the rain, I was taking his bike of his Basement which had some tiles, on applying the front brake the bike kept slipping forward ...
@:':captain:': : Install the front tyre of the r15 on ur bike .. the rtr has 17" in the front. About the rear, a 100/90 18" section would be fine. Dont know why TVS installs those 100/80 tyres in the rear ??
Installing the FZ tyre in the front would reduce your fuel efficiency slightly. otherwise you wouldnt find much change in the handling.

I guess PSD is not priced so high.Originally posted by glen_walter View Posthello guys bit of help here.... changing zma rear ...
which is better m45 4.00*18 or 110/90*18....
is the price of PSD 3900/-
????
I haven't seen 110/90 x 18" M45s... are they available... I have seen only 4.00 x 18" M45s.
My question: Can I try putting R15's front or rear tyre onto my P220's front wheel??
Has anybody tried it??
Or is the stock tyre the best for P220's front?Chetan

@chetanpulsar : the front r15 tyre is a direct fit on the P220. A fellow xbhpian (waseem46) installed it on his p180 front. Though he had to get some work done on the front wheel to fit in the valve of the tire since the r15 tyre is a tubeless one. Contact waseem for more info . Since the Alloys of the 220 already support Tubeless tyres i guess it wont be a problem

Both tyres donot touch the groundOriginally posted by chetanpulsar View PostYaa a lot of P220s have Michelins.... even I was to go for Michelin Sirac 120/90... but somehow the grip on that tyre did not excite me... and moreover the height of the bike increases a lot and when put on main stand... both the tyres touch the ground.. which is not a good thing. That tyre is for off-roading.
so went ahead and got the stock size MRF.
.Also its good that the height has increased as the center stand doent scrap on big speed breakers.
I remember this speedbreaker at JNPT toll where it always used to before the michs but now it doesnt
Also someone mentioned sign tyres quoting 3K for michs well tats including the tube so tell them u dont want tube.
As per Mich dealer in mbai the siracs wont cost more than 2.7 max !
@Inder : tyre change kiya ?Aprilia RS 125 or Honda CB400 Vtec ..... which one will it be ??? I think its gonna be NINJA ZX 6R :-)
