I think of mrf masseter. After hearing reviews. Huge price difference between Michelin and mrf. Pilot street at 6000 and masseter at 3800 for rear.

Have you used Michelin pilot street radial before? I have. They are good, but I used it on D390. I guess it should be really good on fz25

No I haven't used the Michelin pilot street radial tyres. No doubt that it's good. It could/would be better than the massetters. I went for the Med cause I felt it was cheaper and there were good reviews about it.

Rs2000 difference... Some amount is for the brand. But still, having used...I feel inclined for Michelin. And it is radial.
Don't know how different is non radial tyre.

Unless you're a hard/seasoned rider, you won't find much of a difference between them. Radials feel a wee bit better while cornering in my experience.

I've ridden FZ25s in different conditions with the Michelin, MRF Masseters and Pirelli Angel CT. They all are very similar IMO, though it may be because my riding skills aren't very good. As you said, the bike is relaxed and doesn't have too much power to overwhelm these tyres. None of the tyres mentioned above will disappoint you.

But since you've used the Michelin before without any issue and don't mind paying the premium, I concur with [MENTION=92085]hemanta[/MENTION], go for the Michelins. Instead of selling the stock tyres yourself, ask the tyre dealer for an exchange.

As I'm planning for North tour which includes Leh Ladakh etc I need some good dual sport tyres for my Ninja 650

Front 120/70ZR17 M/C (58 W)
Rear 160/60ZR17 M/C (69 W)

Few I listed out are below,

Pirelli mt60
Conti trail attack 3
Metzler tourance
Metzler tourance next
Timsun dual sport

Any suggestions are welcome.
Tyres other than above if any let me know.
If anyone used any of the tyre mentioned above please share your review.

Tyres for Pulsar AS200 for ladakh/ mountain trips

Hi all,

I have a 2015 Pulsar AS200 which has done about 10K Kms.
Stock tyres 100/80-17 and 130/70-17 were changed on purchase to
Front: MRF Zapper FY 110/70-17 and Rear: MRF Revz-S 130/70 R17.
These tyres have travelled on broken himachal mountain roads for most of their life. The experience has been good on tarred roads and even on dry broken roads and rocks. Only issue has been that the rear has zero grip on sand and slush. It just starts floating like a boat.
They have never given me any trouble and ive had no punctures till date. A lot of cracks have developed on the tread of both the tyres though.

Due to the cuts I was thinking of changing the tyres and had even purchased Michelin Pilot Street 110/70 R17, but i havent installed it yet.
I am not a corner carver at all. Im quite a sedate driver and dont 'RIP' the bike or lean it much.
Now im planning a ladakh trip in June and anyways most of my riding is going to be in the hills (touchwood). So i think i would be better off with dual sport tyres.
After reading a lot of reviews over here, im leaning for Ralco Speed Blaster 140/70-17 for the rear. Its supposed to be robust and perform well on broken roads and slush/ice.
But there seems to be no consensus about the front tyre. Would the Ralco Speed Blaster 140/70 -17 at the rear and something like Michelin Sirac Street at the front be a good idea?
Please suggest what tyres i should get.

Last week my rear tyre got punctured.

Fixed the tube in near by puncture repair shop. I was told that the tyre got punctured by stone cut, so he placed two layers of old tube inside (just for that part of the tyre, not the whole tube). I don't know how they will stay there without glue, he just placed there. I doubt if the air filled tube will keep those pieces in it's place.

These are the snapshots of the tyre got cut by stone. It's about 1-1.5" wide.

Should I change the tyre for this reason?

I have pulsar 180 UG4. Need to change the tyres.
I want to go for R15 v1 tyre for the front. Do they still make it? What series zapper is that?
And stock again for back.

Go with the r15 v2 tyres, i have them on my 180 ug4 as well. The grip is amazing and they are really cheap. The model is zapper FY1 they are 90 in width, or you can go with FY2, they are 100 in width. Both of them are excellent, i have tried them both, no loss in power/handling or anything. Pay the mrp what's mentioned on the mrf website

Many MRF showroom guys told be that they discontinued FY2 series. It's also not visible on their website .
It was really pain in the arse to get a tyre which you requested. For such a popular model they only kept stock OEM ones.

Anyway I went with 80/90-17 masseter fx for front and zapper vyde 120/80-17 for rear
masseter costed me 1475 and vyde around 2350
