    Yes, that's what I said -
couldn't get tubeless stuff in 18" without oversizing the tyre by a good margin
The 100/19 x 18 is tube type. Else my search would have ended two weeks back with the first attempt itself.

      • Dunlop monster sucks

OK ...i had bad feeling about it when i was buyin it.Didn't have any option at that moment....anyway this is about today morning....just drizzled here in santacruz(mumbai) and i was on the concrete portion of the road and i somehow got that feeling that i was not getting good grip...i'm riding at around 30-40 kmph and i brake slowly and bang the bike starts to fishtail like anything...i some how gained control by taking it on the side....again started riding it....and man it was just slippin n slippin wheneva i stirred left or right....man it is the worst tyre in the history of biking of 9 years...PLEASE DO NOT BUY DUNLOP MONSTER ...it is horrible

120 would fit without any issues....but as i and kp said it will be an overkill......esp sirac....its a heavy tyre!

I love sirac too....but sadly its not availabe on a smaller size....

          • We had our first proper showers (at hyd) yesterday and I had a few scary moments with the stock zappers on the zma.

what is the best recommendation for both front and rear tyres that would give me a real good grip on wet roads. I am ok to compromise on the life and the cost.

              Ravi@17bhp would reply as

M45 for the front and sirac for the rear

Zappers are good in rain buddy, but you shouldn't take any tyre to the extreme in rain, coz the brakes will also not respond perfectly.
Trust me on this, I was riding my R15 at the exact time you mentioned.

thanks for ravi's opininon ;-)...btw, what abt zapper wyde? it's relatively softer => better grip?

also, what's the best place to go looking? Need three things done ASAP before end of may - replace tyres, battery and get a HID install.

@sarvajit - i know... but the stock zma zappers are pretty bad in slick conditions. the r15's stock tires are lot better

                      • So, basically it comes down to the M45 or the sirac right? are there any other alternates?

Although DUNLOP MONSTER is not a great tyre. But any tyre would slip in light drizzles.specially on concrete

@Atul apna razor has put M45 on his rtr Its good man.
The Sirac is a heavy tyre so it will have its cons.BTW which one for front ???!!!

                            • I just installed the M45's on my RX yesterday. They have really improved the handling a lot. Its very obvious when you're cornering.

And Dunlop monster has pattern similar to Michelin M45 not Sirac.
                                Check again!! 120/90/17 and 120/80/18.

The Dunlop Monster I used never slipped on concrete, unless it is slippery smooth. The Sirac slipped on wet surface yesterday on smooth surface. Any tire in the world would slip on wet smooth surface if you apply brakes.
