I have Personally not used both the tyres.. but from my little knowledge about both these tyres If U want a tyre which can do some off road go for Sirac cos M45 are soft compund tyres & are not generally suited for Off Roading.Originally posted by motorheadZMA View Post

Will be able to give a fair review on the M45 after going on a nice long tour.for now can only say that pick up has not been affected and im enjoying the grip. Also removed the saree guard and the rear looks even better.Should have got that done ages ago.

Hey Motorhead, just a small query, what exactly did you mean by the PICK UP HAS NOT BEEN AFFECTED?Originally posted by motorheadZMA View PostWill be able to give a fair review on the M45 after going on a nice long tour.for now can only say that pick up has not been affected and im enjoying the grip. Also removed the saree guard and the rear looks even better.Should have got that done ages ago.

How do you measure the pickup...... otherwise.
and also, how much do you think a so- called pick-up would be affected if we plonk a tyre that is a tad too big for the specifications. do you really think that a broader tyre affects the average, pickup and road grip? Its not about the BHP or the CC, its about one common religion called Biking!!!

@dcs sorry for not making myself clear enough.i meant that there is no noticeable drop in acceleration.from what i read on the forum all 120/80 sirac users say that it reduces average and pickup i mean acceleration.glad to help out the newbies
by the way how is the sirac 100/90 performing?
I bought the Ninja 250R !!.....And then i woke up :(

Although it is not so huge difference, but yet it cannot be so minute that it gets neglected.Originally posted by dcs View Post

My Average has come down by 1.5 to 2kmpl with 120 size tyre & top end seems to be slow by 2-3kmph.
This is Just my observation..sigpicAll India Permit 1+1

i have been using Michelin M45 4.00 x 18 for my rear in my Karizma
It is an awesome tyre . Now i wont change to stock tyre as long as
M45 4.00 x 18 is avialble. The grip offers is awesome.
It is actually lighter than the stock tyre (but dimension wise it is wider )
if fitted properly it can be fitted without doing any modification .
No need to remove chain cover.
Mileage and top speed are not at all affected in my case.
i can guarantee that..
In my experience M45 rocks in Karizma .sigpic

one dumb question
One dumb Q: Why are you fitting the Michelins (tubeless) on Karizmas (with alloy rims) with an inner tube?
Next dumb Q: Shouldnt a tubeless tyre be a natural fit for the zma's alloy rims?
I own a stock Zma - so thought of just checking. Who knows cash tends to disappear in mysterious ways - esp moto rubber.

Always go with reomendations of the bike manufacturer even if you change the size.Originally posted by motorheadZMA View PostWill be able to give a fair review on the M45 after going on a nice long tour.for now can only say that pick up has not been affected and im enjoying the grip. Also removed the saree guard and the rear looks even better.Should have got that done ages ago.
