Thanks for the link that looks nice... but in the site they specified as 130/70 or 140/70, FZ is 140/60, does this make any difference or it will be a direct fit???

thats why i recommended a 130 . the 140 will be bit taller tyre and will make the gearing taller . both will fit the FZ .

        • Its been 4 days since i mailed Michelin India , no reply from them yet...

I am loosing hope , what should i do guys ? Should i patch the tyre properly from inside or should i repair it using normal tubeless repairing technique ?? but puncture is on side wall hence second option sounds lil risky to me ...

Putting tube is last option ...

Tyres will look wide if not fitted. The width will change according to rims width once fitted. Same tyre fitted to different rims width will result in noticiable difference even with naked eye. This is why I have been on the look out for broader rims for my Zma for some time. Zma got some seriously skinny rims.

                        • Help : Tubeless Tyres For Pulsar 180 ug3

                          Hi guys,

I am looking to upgrade the tyres of my pulsar 180 UG3 to tubeless ones.
I have following doubts. Please pour in your experiences/idea on this.

                          1) Are the Rim(alloy wheel) of 180 UG3 good enough to support a tubeless tyres?Asking this coz one of the bajaj srv guy told me that the RIM quality of tubeless and tube version bikes are hugely different.

                          2) Which brand of tyres you guys suggest? Currently I am running on MRF Zapper and it did its job well in last 30K kms.

                          3) Anyone here who has actually done tubeless tyre upgrade? how is your experience?

                          Thanks

                            hi there,
even i am looking for some tyre upgread for my p 180 ug2.here are your ans.....
1.the rim of tube less and tubed is little different i admit, but if the rim is in good shape then there is no problem if you mount tubeless.i had this quary and asked business standard motoring back in 2006.Mr. Subhabrata Marmar(now in overdrive) told me its not possible to do this but after that also my friend changed his rear tyre to bridgestone batlax 120/70 and still running the same setup..................no prob till date, model was same as me.
2.i am also having quary here.practical options are
a..go for front and rear set of honda cbf stunner, same size, mrf make...
b..go for r 15 s front and rear set up...costly,it will improve dynamics as well but the rear is 80 profile ,hence it will short the bikes gearing which is well i dont like in a touring bike which is already short geared.
3.here in my city there are at least 3 to 4 bikes 150/180 ug3 ,who changed to mrf 100/90 tube less and no prob till date..

the key is how is your alloys condition ,,,bend, cracks then wont do,otherwise no problem.

mrf is the cheap and easiest offer, stick to stock size dont do oversizing, specially dont get tempt by p 220 s rear tube less, its a bad exp all who have done this...loosing air like hell because the rim is not that broad.

there are some irc tyres as well avl in market but performence i rally dont have any idea.

i am also looking foroward for this mod mainly because to eliminate hassle of puncture.at least in a tubeless we can repair it our self without dismounting the tyre,,and that's a big plus for a tourer ..
pm me if you find out something new.

                              • Guys i need an input on this. I am currently running on 100/90/18 rear tyre MRF zapper on my Uni. Can i increase the size to a 110/90/18 tyre of any company not necessarily MRF without affecting performance/mileage. Will it provide better grip?
