You can contact Mr. Deepak from Siremull Hirachand Tyrestore in Chennai and give him my reference. Please visit Home - www.motorcycle.michelin.in to see our products and I am sure you can select one of the 3 patterns in 2.75 18 size.

Does it make any difference to have nitrogen rather than air in your tyres

          • Atlast i changed the tyres for my P150 which were 41k Kms old. I have changed to Continental Metro Paliton front i think this is 90/90 17" the same original size and at rear i have put Dunlop Duro 120/80 17". I was thinking that the tyres might touch the chain guard but it is not touching so good for me. both are tubeless. Grip is decent enough, i haven't tested the grip effect to max as i don't ride fast n rough in traffic. i got it for Rs. 1350/- front and Rs. 2400/- rear from Metro tyres, Grant Rd., Mumbai. will try to post the pics of the tyres by evening if i get time.

Tyres in European are not expected to do beyond 12-14K. Even in Indonesia, Brazil, which are similar markets like India, tyre life expected is 15k- 20k. In India the situation is different though where the expectation is 25k-30k. Average front tyre life in India is 28k and rear is 24k.

The Sirac on Indian bikes is expected to do 20-25k. And by Indian bikes I mean the bigger Indian bikes like ZMA, P220 etc

                Prices quoted were
                1. Ceat vertigo 100/90 (did not state tubeless on the tyre) - 1800
                2. Ceat vertigo 120/90 (tubeless written) - 1850
                3. Michellen Sirac - 2900 - 120/80 -

I am skeptical about the 120 size because of performance issues and the need to have the chain guard removed.

The sirac seems to be on the expensive side. the dealer quoted 3k for the 120 vertigo initially and then checked with a dealer and said 1850.

is a 100/90 tuneless option available on the vertigo?
1850 for Ceat vertigo tubeless is too much.. We got one for Rahul's ZMA for 1450/-. That was when the availablity of tyres especially MRF was very less. So I was hoping it to be a bit lesser now. And the size was 120/80 not 120/90.

                • Guys,

Any idea from where in Mumbai can i get the P200 stock tyres and whats the cost?

Its a bit difficult to find those in and around my area. There are a few places which have it but are charging extra for those tyres..

Alright, thanks for the input. I was just wondering why does EU have a lower tyre life expectancy than SE Asia region, considering that EU region has better roads in general.

Better the roads, faster the bike and faster the tyre wears!!

                              • Hello everyone. I require a tyre change and happen to pass by AH Helmets.

Thinking of going for pirelli. The thing is, I have a pulsar 150 and currently have a 120x80x17 tubeless MRF tyre and wanted to downgrade on the size.

The options he had was 110x70x17 Sports Demon and an IRC 130x70x17. Also had a Pirelli MT60 (or was it MT70) which looks like an offroad tyre.

He also suggested some Ceat tubeless tyre. Unsure which model though.

The thing is i wanted a tyre as close to the default specification (100x90x17). Don't mind 110 either but unsure of the 70?

is it advisable to go for the 110x70x17.

if not, please suggest me a tyre for my bike . Thanks .
