Yep it is a soft compound tyre...and I did a few stops in the rain from 60-0kmphr and it is very good.

Thanks for quick reply, are the tyres for dry road/wet/offroading?
I need them for dry roads only.dry/wet grip is my major concern.
                    thx.

i didnt understand the portion highlighted in bold.

chicken strip means wear only down the centre of the tyre and the portion towards the sides are unaffected.its so called coz it suggests that the person doesnt have the balls to lean in corners and has been riding the bike upright all the time-in short chicken.thechicken. and the unused portion of the tyre on the sides are known as chicken strips.

if you mean the same thing then i would suggest you to read some good books on cornering, like the keith code's twist of the wrist and lean the bike.
if the wear on the non chicken strip is excessive and the bike is sliding around then get yourself new tyres and enjoy some nice cornering and get rid of chicken strips next time around.

                        you have the following options:
                        zapper C 120/80 - price 2100- 2200, its the same oem tyre for 220.

zapper vyde 120/80 price 2400-2500 its an upgrade over zapper c and provides more grip, more softer compound. a good upgrade i must say.

pirelli sport demon 130/70 price 3300-3500, its the most grippiest tyre around, soft compound but wears out very fast as well.

michelin sirac 120/90 tube tyre( people here are using it as tubeless, so no worry there)- its the best on-off road tyre for 220. acceleration will slow down but the bike will become more smoother and return better fuel economy, and it will provide better top end as well-thanks to the higher profile rear which will make the gear ratio taller. since the 220dtsi is already running a tall gear ,how would this tyre affect the acceleration is anyone's guess.

                        lastly
Veerubber 130/70 price 2400-2500.good grippy tyre but wears out fast.

                        • Front Tubeless Tyre problem

Guys I have been using tubeless tyres on my ZMA for around 11k kms. The front being a Kings and the rear an IRC. I can see cracks that have developed on the tread of front tyre and also on the side wall there are marks that look like "wrinkles" of some sort. I wanted to know whether I would have to replace the front tyre?..
If yes then guys please suggest some options for the front (tubeless).
