I think 100/90-18 will be a over kill for this bike and will affect your mileage and performance,especially Sirac 100/90-18. Sirac Street is Tube Type tire.

M45 3.0 costed me 1650 rs few months back without tube.

The bike will still take it, but the rear will wobble a bit with pillion, and topspeed&mileage both will come down.
Cornering maybe a bit better but the bike will feel heavier&not so nimble.
I had a 100/90x18" Dunlop GeoCruiser for 4-5 years on my bike&after reverting to stock size the bike feels like a great handler.
Bottom line: I wouldn't recommend it.
Price I paid was total 3K Rs. for front&back tyres mentioned above.
Both are tube type tyres. No punctures faced yet in 6 months.

Thanks again for your inputs Aneesh. Are 100/90 - 18 and 3.25 - 18 same tyre sizes? Also howz the wet weather performance of M45 tyres? and How does it handle the rough patches on the road?

Did you also change the tube along with the Tyres? Is it necessary to change the TUBE too?

No,100/90-18 is equal to 3.50.

Also howz the wet weather performance of M45 tyres?

Wet grip is awesome,these are soft compund tires,offers grip on wet and dry conditions and will last up to 25-30k kms.

and How does it handle the rough patches on the road?

I have M45 in my karizma, didn't felt bad while going through bad roads,Heard that soft compound tires are more vulnerable to punctures,but mine had ran about 3500kms,still no punctures.

If you had punctures in the tube,then replace it,I don't had any punctures in my old tube,so still using it in my tires.

Yes I got the tube changed&also got the rims throughed but that's not appicable in your case since you have alloys on your bike.
Michelin didn't have tubes, so I got them in Ceat in the same size. The tyre shop guy will take care of it.
He also got the tyre wall beading changed&applied some powder, that is a thin rubber patch on the inside of the rim-donno if alloy wheels also have it.

So According to your Inputs, I will go for Michelin Sirac Street for the rear and the M45 2.75 for the front. Also i feel that Glady is a big bike and the size of 3.00 tyre doesn't look good on it. Do you still think that going for 3.25 size tyre rather than 100/90 for the rear would be an overkill?

Though Sirac Street is 100/90-18 ,it is heavier than ordinary 100/90-18 tires.So it will definitely affect you mileage,performance and topend.So IMO,i would recommend you to get the Michelin M45 3.25 * 18 for rear.

and M45 2.75 * 18 fro front.

The stock rear size for your bike is 3.00x18". That would yield best results IMO.
My bike's stock rear size was 90/90x18" but that size is discontinued now. The bike is Fiero F2, 150cc btw. The tyre doesn't look that skinny due to the buttons. I chose this tyre since it behaves well in on&off-road conditions.
M45 is soft compound, so I have chosen for the front, for best grip. M45 is available for the rear too, but I did not choose intentionally as it would only grip well on tarmac, not off road. Moreover wear will be faster for the rear tyre.
The combo is really good. Hope you understood my points.

Thanks Bro!! I will take up your advice and go for the stock size tyres only. M45 2.75 * 18 for the front and Sirac Street 3.00 * 18 for the rear it is then.

Front tyre for Thunderbird

My stock tyre (3.25*19") is up for replacement and i am in a confusion whether to replace with the same stock tyre or use the rear tyre of the same dimension to front?

I have seen many bullets with the rear tyre being used in front.. Awaiting the advantages and disadvantages of using the rear tyre at front before i decide on the buy..
