well the bike is an r15,the streets in my city aint that good(gravel and sand on every nook and corner) and sometimes during cornering i dont feel that secure.the tires dont feel that secure and solid.

putting a 130/70 on n R15 isn't an issue at all.

but the handling of the bike... will get messed up.

^^ yes and it will affect its performance also,
R15 tyres are currently best among all indian made tyres. if you want, you can go for pirelli but don't go too wide.

If you really wanna put a wider tyre, I would suggest Pirelli 110x80/17" or Dazzler/RTR180's rear tyre if you wanna ride over rougher roads.
Do fix it&let us also know about the handling, top speed etc.!

Sorry, i forgot to mention that the puncture guy actually put a patch where the puncture occurred. The puncture guy was a truck specialist, but not sure whether the patch he applied is strong enough to hold the tyre pressure.

The air pressure in the tyre has been constant and seems there is no leak. The tube was of some local brand....

I would like to explore the option of fitting a Tuff-Up tube (provided by Honda) in the tyre. I understand this will help me deal with sudden deflation occurring due to punctures. Please enlighten me with the pros and cons for this......

Rear tyre for ZMA

I want to change the rear tyre for my ZMA. Thinking for going in for a 120 section tyre so that it provides good grip while cornering. But have some doubts. Fitting an 120 section tyre would decrease the accelaration as well as fe, right? Is there any means to counter the decrease in accelaration? Like may be getting a 120X17 tyre istead of 120X18.

The main confusion is to go for a tyre-tube combo or tubeless. Most of the people prefer tyre-tube combo but i feel tubeless is better due to go on some distance in case of a pucture.

Please advise soon since planning a tyre change this weekend.

Also the cost(In Delhi/Gurgaon) of Michellin M45, MRF zapper Q and Zapper Y would be apprecieated.

My brother got a Pirelli SD rear on his ZMA. He is all praises for the gripping and its cornering ability. He is using size 110x18 on the rear. There isn't a noticeable reduction in the acceleration and top-speed.

Hey Guys ,

I'm a noob where tyres are concerned so any inputs appreciated . I have a similar doubt regarding changing the tire on my R-15 ! I enquired about Pirelli Sport Demon for the bike and they have only the rear tire in stock size . The front they say i will have to upgrade only . Is it worth it ? I DON"T want to upsize .

Have a look at the R15 thread, search for a post titled alternative tyre options.

You will get all the info. you need.
I still feel the front stock tyre is the best.
Rear is upto personal choice&usage pattern.

110 sized tires is more than enough for karizma,Stick to a good 110 sized tire.

Yes,Heavy 120 sized tires like Michelin Sirac 120/90-18 will definitely reduce your mileage,top speed, acceleration etc.

17 and 18 inches represents alloywheel size,Pulsar has 17" alloys and Karizma have 18" alloys,You cannot use 17" tire in 18" alloys and viceversa.

TL tires wont last long,In case of Pirelli SD,It only lasts for 15k whereas Michelin M45 TT tire will last upto 25-30k.

I got M45 4.0 * 18 for rear for 1750rs.

Yes,Pirelli Sports Demon 110/90-18,little heavy,only lasts 15K,But awesome grip in roads in wet and dry conditions,but less grip once out of roads.

what are the best tyres available for bajaj kawasaki eliminator.i have six year old tyres now i want to change them.tyres may tubeless or with tures but quality must be the best.

Thank you Abhee & Aneesh for your suggestions. I will have M45 fitted to my rear. Also which would be a good tube to use. Currently I am using Dunlop(had to take it since had no other option). I guess MRF tubes are good...right?
