Just saw on a different thread on xbhp that CBR150 has been launched in Thailand..Might be they would get the machine in India to compete with R15.

The Yamaha guys with their mails are trying to push people into old stock clearance it seems ...

what is your logic? if you know a new bike is coming would you buy the old one? besides according to some people in the forum and the people who posted above R15 booking has been stopped.

It definitely would if any poser tries to retrofit a bigger rear tyre on it.

But if it comes fitted from the maker, then it means that the manufacturer will test it rigorously and make necessary changes/tweaks to the chassis is required to go along with the new rubber.

the tyre part is most confusing to me.if bigger tyres were possible why were they not used from the beginning itself. in the r15 thread i read that the new r15 has reduced no. of clutch plates to increase the low end(as per customer demand) sacrificing top end (i cannot confirm this fully). similarly yamaha may be planning to install bigger tyre in the new r15(as per customer demand),if at all it gets launched, sacrificing may be a little bit of handling. the r15 is best the way it is when it was first launched in india. a yamaha engineer has once told me that the bike is designed by one of the best design team of yamaha. if they decided to go with slimmer tyres in the first place,there should be solid reason for it. these are just my opinions.

Nope, They are still taking bookings over here for the present version and they "claim" they absolutely dont have any knowledge about the revamped edition ...

Since yamaha present replies are confusing people, yeap they are tend to be push to go for the present ones with no certainity over the new release. Can ya get my point ?

Cause I can really see the dealers have been bugged with lota queries for the new one and since people started to wait out for new one's, the present ones can be alarmly get stocked up, So maybe for the clearance of the persent stock, dealers could have joined hands with yamaha and together giving us B.S now

When i had talk to factory yamaha sales dept they din said tht thy are not lanching or sumthing they said dates are not yet confirmed............

People would have happily bought the fazer had it been 250 cc even if it had been producing only 5 BHP.

2: AFAIK, the number of clutch plates have no impact on torque.(I may be wrong)

Make the downpayment/booking amount.

Later we can sue them for Breach of Contract and order that Specific Performance of the Contract.

Or if you like, you may sue them for damages and make some money.

I beg to differ, please do not stereotype. If indians were interested only in cc and size of rear tyre then no indian would have paid over a lakh to buy a r15. You are entitled to your opinion but I don't think it accounts every single indian. No offense.

guys i got some info from bajaj come march-april we will see two big bike's from kawasaki in india both 600cc > above my money is on 650r and zx-10r!!! wot do u guys think

price 650r ex-5.5-6 lacs ,zx-10r ex-12.5-13 lacs

Point noted. R15 vs p220 are not in same price range else stats would be diff., but that's a topic of debate and OT.

KTMs arent the fill it and shut it Jap bikes, they can be a bit of ***** to maintain at times. Anyone going for a KTM should keep this in mind! I would stay away from them in India specially when Bajaj is providing the servicing bit!

why Yamaha is keeping mum..... if they want to clear their stock, increase your advertising and put some cherries on R15..... once done, advertise even more for the new R15.....

ER6F or the Ninja 650R is sure, but which is the other? It is not the ZX6R for sure.ZX10R seems not possible.

That's what I observed when I went out of India! When will we all realise it remains to be seen.

I saw the ER6F here. And it is quite uninspiring to say the least! With the thubb thubb sound.It sells very less here.
