I asked a TVS engineer about this some time back... he confirmed that there is a plan for a 250cc, said it will take quite a lot of time to come, but told me not to expect it anytime soon...

Will there be a market here if manufacturers strip-off the fairings and sell a street-naked version priced about 20% lesser than fully faired versions?

For eg, take Honda CBR250R, Yamaha R15, remove fairings, improve pillion comfort a bit, reduce the price, won't these sell well? I read somewhere here that a naked CBR250R is indeed planned by Honda.

a lot bro because most of the Indian bikers love naked bikes...sales figures of FZ is an example, indian traffic conditions & our road qualities also prefer non-faired bikes
and u can get a higher capacity bike with low price...thats also an advantage..........!
