Well said, was about to say the same but couldn't have put it better...Originally posted by abhimanyu31 View PostTake a look what all has gone into creating this bike, it is a brilliant piece of machinery... I will leave you with this one last thought... in 1988 Yamaha introduced the FZR 400, which was hailed as the world's best handling bike period. This is a bike that rivals that handling, and you are getting it at a far cheaper price than a R125... where is the so called 'compromise' out here???
About the handling after putting 'phat tyres', I doubt yamaha is going to upgrade the engine of the new r15(i.e. if they intend to keep the price same) . Maybe they will just play around with the suspension and chassis, they might make the new body panels lighter to save weight. What remains to be seen is exactly how much those 'phat' tyres impact the handling.
P.S.:We always have an option of reverting back to the current r15's stock tyres..."To accomplish much you must first loose everything" - Che Guevara

I haven't questioned the tyre's performance.Originally posted by chinmayakar View PostCompletely agree. Lets not argue just for the heck of it. R15 is a brilliant package, and the stock tyres are more than capable of doing their job. Dont agree? Ask Joel and he will swear by the stock tyres.
Why will it impact the handling if the compound is same/better?Originally posted by crazySID View PostWell said, was about to say the same but couldn't have put it better...

I was referring to the handling, after putting the wide tyre. Just curious about the changes yamaha engineers would make to the new r15 in order to retain the current handling with wider tyre's.Originally posted by chicane1879 View PostWhy will it impact the handling if the compound is same/better?
Do you really want me to explain you how putting a wider tyre on the current r15 affects the handling adversely ??"To accomplish much you must first loose everything" - Che Guevara
