I dont think it will make any difference. According to that news item, Triumph is entering by selling CBUs (Completely Built Units). That attracts a lot of duty. Same price as you get it even now. If you want a Triumph, you can right away import one for the same price.

CBUs officially sold in India costs a bit less rather than the direct legal import I think.

what are the odds of seeing the VTR250 in Indian soil. I like the naked looks more than the CBF250R. Being a twin, I think it would be expensive than the CBF.

Hi Guys, I went to the Suzuki Showroom near my house to pay the final cash settlement for my cousin's GS150R. At that time, when inquiring about new bikes, I was told that there are two bikes and a scooter lined up for diwali. He said one was a 100cc bike with the name Max 100R (which i personally think is a good move cause the name still has a good recall in rural areas), an Access 140(the 125 is a potent scooter, this 140 I think can be used for Saddle Sore) and a 250cc bike(most likely GW250).. Keeping fingers crossed..

Max is already being sold in the TVS guise...
Access - 15cc upgrade! wow!
250cc - ever elusive!

Hehe! Hopefully TVS will do some magic soon. A 200cc with twin-headlamps and a full-fairing is what i am expecting. No FI and No ABS needed....The only requirement is a blast of more than 20bhp

New R15 Spotted in BOMBAY

posted this from my phone earlier this evening... on the R15 thread.

i just saw the new R15 at Bandra.

was a blue bike. the rider was wearing a white motocross helmet.

this version of the R15 looks PERFECT guys.

the spypics posted by vaibhav... don't do the bike justice. seriously.

the taillight was on. ubercool lookin.
looks exactly like an r6 from the back. (sans the 160/180 section tyre)

the tyres were meatier.

the new R15 launch is closer than ever.

nopes. he was going in the opposite direction.
and i was in my car at a stop light.

tried to soak in as much detail as i could.

blue. headlights virtually exactly the same as on the current R15.
the rider was wearing a white MX helmet. couldn't read the license plate.
tail light on. vary vary sexy. fat rubber. the bike looked proportionate.
(unlike the current R15.)

i'm sure someone in bombay will spot him, click pics and post em online soon.
