Probably, everyone of us knows that Bajaj don't keep their cards hidden for so long after talking about them. Expect them by this festive season. And about the specs. somebody told they are 4 valves, mono shock, totally new frame, new design, but that somebody did'nt have any data or photos to support\prove the same.Originally posted by princesirohi View Post

My views on the YZF-R15 V2.0: http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/news/198...tml#post699240
The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

Hey guys, I wanted to know something. If these rumours of new R15 having 22bhp are true, then how much of a big difference can those extra 3 horses of CBR250R make? Considering that Yamaha's 17bhp easily competes with (and may be beats) P220's 21bhp, then how will Yamaha's 22bhp fair against Honda's 25bhp?

One can make hazzar speculations by using the keyboard and sitting on a chair. Let the bike come out first.. and then let guys ride it.Originally posted by hss View PostHey guys, I wanted to know something. The current R15 beats the P220 only around a race track because of its superior handling which makes it faster around the corners and make up for the lost time in the straights.Originally posted by hss View PostConsidering that Yamaha's 17bhp easily competes with (and may be beats) P220's 21bhp
In a staright line the R15 gets left behind by the P220.

ha ha ha....my favourite topic is back---
R15 Vs P220, ok, i will shut up, will not say anything...
how can i.......
ok, so P220 is faster on the straight, and R15 in corners. but the problem is a race track has both
, lolz, so it has straight sections and corners/turns too.

lets imagine a race track, first and foremost, any race starts on a straight section and not in a corner
, so approaching first corner p220 is ahead of R15, in the corner lets imagine R15 catches up with P220, it can't beat P220 in the first corner itself, exiting first corner, both the bikes are parallel, then comes a straight section of track ( now the point to be noted is that race generally starts in the middle of a straight section, and not at its beginning, so this straight patch coming ahead is longer than initial straight section) so P220 will pull up more lead on R15 in this section as compared to starting straight patch. so in next corner R15 will not be able to catch P220, it can only reduce the gap. exiting second corner, P220 is in lead, so on and so forth....till finish line. ha ha ha
u guys loved my simulation.

Give some, take some.Originally posted by payeng View PostThe current R15 beats the P220 only around a race track because of its superior handling which makes it faster around the corners and make up for the lost time in the straights.
In a straight line the R15 gets left behind by the P220.
Both of them are at advantage to one another and neither of them possess the all-rounder character in their current state of performance.
However, if it is Value for money and city ride-ability, Pulsar220F is the winner at its current price and specifications.
And, if it is ride-quality and refinement, Yzf R15 has come clear edge.
It is again the same story...............but in our country, Value For Money bike is the winner, mileage being similar from both bikes under real road conditions.
Since.there are rumors of both R15 and P220 getting revamped, lets see how that significantly changes things or if it changes anything at all.
Friend, R15 can carry more speed into a corner, take it out with it and one can crack open the throttle on the exit on a faster exit speed and surge out.Originally posted by princesirohi View Postit can only reduce the gap. exiting second corner, P220 is in lead, so on and so forth....till finish line. ha ha ha
The P220 on the other hand, would like to be resorted to early braking and carry slower speeds into the corner and then take it with ease and then it would go WOT from a slower exit speed.
The straight line performance difference between R15 and P220 is very minimal. The P220 may have its head in the front, but R15 is just slipstreaming it with its nice aerodynamics !!!
Near a corner, the P220 takes the safer line-brakes early, while R15 moves out of the slipstream, takes the aggressive line with confidence, does its thing like Rossi does and gets ahead.
We all know how in MotoGp or in real time races, cornering and handling becomes the determinant. At similar levels of power(with a bit more or less here and there), it always has to be the handling and tyres.
However, in a city, some subtle maneuvers and then fast acceleration is done with ease on the P220................R15 suffers on the low-end and mid-range acceleration part, which makes it very uncomfortable in the city.
Most of the buyers do not hit the race track with their own machines in the whole lifetime.Last edited by MACH50; 07-09-2011, 11:19 AM.Hell's Angel
