I have been using Castrol power 1 racing for the past 8500km now( second bottle) . 1st bottle lasted almost 5.5k and the second one is 3k old. This time the oil has darkened a lot faster than before. sometimes the engine is so free revving and sometimes I feel its so sluggish.
    MAybe improper carb tuning+K&N

    I ride a P180 UG-III.
Could anyone suggest, is the Motul 300V FL 15W50 better to use than the 10W40 power 1 racing.
Its almost winter time in Bangalore now( very cold).
Someone who has used it, suggestions please.

earlier i was pretty confident that castrol power 1 racing svckzzzz
but now confused again if it is a good oil
bad reviews says , hard gear shifts ,sluggish revs after mere 1000 kms.(in universal engine oil thread)
And all reviews above reviews are favourable to cp1r4t.
ne unicorn rider ,done 5000+ kms on this oil without any issues with gears and smoothness etc.
The Automotive batteries are designed to work best in a typical short start-stop fashion.
So to increase the life of your automobile battery, blow the horn and flash the pass light in a quick start stop fashion instead of a conitnuous long horn blow or flash light continuous on!!
And obviously don't stretch the self start far too long.

im thoroughly dissapointed with Power 1...gearshifts are hard, bike feels like its running out of breath, sluggish pickup, and the engine is heating up like crazy . Im going back to AGIP

If you really thing that the CP1R is that good, try some other Fully Synthetic oil and then decide for yourself.

I have used CP1R for 7500kms on my Unicorn and my mech was telling still the oil is good i can use for another 1k. I checked with other mech, they too said same. But I was scared and most of the times i ride on Highways at high speeds. So didn't wanna risk and was running short of cash so put Fully Synthetic "Petronas Sprinta 5000" this time (donno how good it is)... Will be changing back to CP1R after 2 or 3k kms.

Well with my experience with CP1R, from day 1 till 7500kms i used it. I must say it was a gem. Engine was smoothly revving, most of the times i did around 150kms non stop at high speeds without single break still it was amazing.

I found everything smooth till 7400+ kms. Found gears little hard after that so changed the oil. Well 7000kms is too much
If u are looking for Motul then even by mistake don't put in 15w50 into Unicorn.

Don't know if its the same P180, but this guy is pretty mad about Motul 300v here http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/universa...-oils-116.html post #1157. I think Motul 300v is among the best, however Pulsar owners have commented on having issues. You can check it out properly.

Seems like 'earlier' he thought CP1R sucks, 'now' he's confused. He doesn't think that CP1R really is that good. Am using CP1R for my ZMA-R. No issues. Both engine and gear are smoother than ever. I would prefer Motul 300v, but I couldn't get them in w40 and so have not tried them.

Frankly, I think its more to do with brand war similar to how some people swear by particular petrol brands. CP1R wasn't my first choice though I was pleasantly surprised after using it. I would suggest you to get whichever synthetic is easily available as I have not come across complain from using particular brand of synthetic oil in R15, only pulsar. Just make sure its grade conforms your bikes recommendation.

Don't know if it'll suit bullet. I get my cp1r from a shop in Mahim(W) near paradise theatre. Forgot the name of the shop but it has all this big castrol sign board. Located just besides the main road.

Guys, even I'm too confused for which oil to opt for... for my p220. Done 1st service a fortnite ago & current odo reading is 1300kms.

Plz advice if to go for Motul Semi-synthetic or Power-1 or any other at this stage of my odo.
You must be the change you wish to see in the world

dude u are not supposed to change to semi/Full Synthetic oils so soon as pistion rings need 2 set properly (thats what all say) so u can use after riding around 5000kms. till then use mineral oils (castrol power one 20w50 or what other company u want with a w50 grade). After running for 5000kms use Motul 15w50 Full synthetic, its pretty good and drain interval is 7k for normal riding (ie if u dnt tend to ride with rpm needle in red )
