Re: K&N Air Filter Queries and Doubts
I have cleaned my carb just few days back but of no use.. Actually after cleaning the problem has increased a lot... And bro cant figure out about which screw are you talking about.....Originally posted by Moh.sHaY View PostOk. Try to clean Carburetor of you bike. I think you can see a small flat screwing under the Carburetor.

Also it is impossible to keep my RPM idle at 1 or 1.5 when the engine is cold and when the engine heats up properly then the RPM fluctuates in between 1.5 to 2..

Did you change the pilot jet? As I suggested last time, you can try with next bigger pilot jetOriginally posted by viper008 View PostI have cleaned my carb just few days back but of no use.. Re: K&N Air Filter Queries and Doubts
Is the K&N filter new? Has it been reoiled? Try this, press some tissue paper on the filter and soak up some excess oil. For best results you need to install the filter directly on the carb. You'll need a bigger main jet though. I can send you one, where are you located?

yes the k&n is a new one also the bike is missing only in the low end pick up and in high end it runs fine. I live in Tinsukia, Assam..Originally posted by sniper View PostIs the K&N filter new? Cant we adjust the pilot jet for better fuel flow in low end pick up since finding a bigger pilot jet is a tough job out here..

Re: K&N Air Filter Queries and Doubts
I see no other issue here than pilot jet being lean. Also your point that bike is missing in low end only further strengthens my assumption. Why don't you give it a try. Jets are not costly alsoOriginally posted by viper008 View Postyes the k&n is a new one also the bike is missing only in the low end pick up and in high end it runs fine. I live in Tinsukia, Assam..

Re: K&N Air Filter Queries and Doubts
The problem with adjusting the air screw to compensate for a small pilot jet, is that if you unscrew it too much, it may just fall off while riding.

Re: K&N Air Filter Queries and Doubts
Yesterday opened the pilot jet it was jammed a bit so cleaned it with a thin wire, now the missing part has gone & the low end responce has improved but not upto the mark, so finally I am thinking to try and change the pilot jet with a bigger one. Also guys will there be any effect on the milage or anything else that should be kept in mind, also can we get the jets online or from any other source since availability is a big problem out here... So guys throw some light on it......Last edited by viper008; 03-16-2014, 12:49 AM.

Re: K&N Air Filter Queries and Doubts
If to use the BA1801 with a stock air box ( no extra holes), then jetting is not required.Originally posted by mbsam2003 View PostI am planning to replace my stock air filter of my pulsar 150(2005 Model) with K&N BA1801.
