45 days with no fine, 75 days with 25% fine else you'll end up paying 100% fine

      • Ok this was all about old bikes and moving from one state to another..
My question is that, what if we buy a bike from different state and move to your state.
Eg buying from Delhi and Bringing to Dehradun, at the same day.

Do i need to pay road tax according to Delhi ?
Do we need a temporary number to move from one state to another or only Applied For will be enough.

I know we can register here if we have the form number xx(dont remember).
But what about taxes and other charges?

        • Getting NOC and registering in other state

          Hi,

I have gone through the process of getting NOC and registering the bike in different state. My experiance as follows :

I purchased my bike in Oct 2010 @ mumbai and registered in Navi mumbai RTO. After that i got transfer to Hyderabad in April 2011. I want my bike to be in Hyderabad, so i googled for NOC process. After googling, i approached a agent in navi mumbai to get NOC for my bike @1500Rs. The documents submitted are
          a. 3 copies of Form 28 with engine and chasis print
          b. RC original
          c. Insurance copy
          d. PUC copy
          e. Driving License Copy
          f. Navi Mumbai Address proof

After 15 days i got the NOC, then i approached my native place RTO (Nizamabad-AP25) because i heard a lot of registrations pending at HYD RTO offices.
In my native place no agent is not willing to take my work because of tedious work and RTO commissioner of Nizamabad. So i approached myself to RTO office and submitted the following docs.
          a. NOC
          b. Original RC
          c. Insurance
          d. Driving License copy
          e. Local address proof original
          f. One photograph of Bike
          g. Form 33 - For address change
          h. Form 29
          i. Notary with the reason of address change with all your details

The above list of docs are gathered after 3-4 visits to RTO because in RTO office, the officials have very less knowledge on process. After several visits we got submitted the all documents.

Once the application is approved by the commissioner, we are went for MVI (Motor vehical inspector) inspection of bike for Chasis and engine numbers and physical status of bike. After MVI check, RTO people calculated the tax asked us to pay (7% of the Ex-showroom price. In my case its 3900).

They given a reciept for payment of LTT and asked us to take a DD for smart card issue(350 Rs). Then they issued a smart card with My MH number having local address proof. Then they asked us to apply for a Local AP25 number after 90 days of the smart card issue.

All this process took atleast 7 visits to RTO office but the best thing is i didnt given a single Rupee as Bribe .

              • documents needed at Noida RTO office

                Hi,

I am moving from noida to pune and want to take my bike there.
I was browsing UP transport site Guidelines
                It says:
FOR GRANT OF NO-OBJECTION CERTIFICATE TO TRANSFER VEHICLE
For grant of NOC, one has to apply along with the following documents:
                1. Form 28 in triplicate with chassis impression 2. Registration Certificate3. Insurance certificateMy concern is that In many posts it is mentioned that to get NOC from RTO, first we need to have NOC from police department but here on the website it is not mentioned in required documents. Can anybody help me out what are the documents needed to get NOC from Noida RTO office?
other relevant information are also welcome.

                Thanks,
                sunil

Sry dude, I don't think so. Actually the best part of railways is that you can transport your bike (or parcel) from anywhere to anywhere!

May I know about the 'not-so-big-city'? Which city is that?

If your train goes to your destination, you better take your bike (book it) as a personal luggage in the brake van of the same train. It is to prevent any chances of your bike getting delivered after/before you reach. Your bike will travel in the same train in the same date as you ll be and therefore upon reaching your destination, you can take the delivery of your bike then and there on the platform itself!

Booking it as a parcel should be on a pre-planned date and an estimation of date of delivery of the same should be seen as very imp!

It would prove too costly dude... you better buy it from Bangalore. The procidure you have to follow if you are buying from Kerala is first buy it and register it in Kerala and then again re register it in Bangalore. The charges will be 2 times the registration and tax..
Biking is about you and the bike and the highway and the freedom you get when all three work together. Its not about Bullying others on the road and behaving like its your Dads property.. So drive safe and be nice to your fellow bikers no matter what their ride is.

We can do temporary registration (which costs very less, ~500 INR) at the place where we buy and register it afterwards. Temporary registration is valid only for 1 month.

Even i was thinking of the same. Do a temporary registration in Kerala and bring it down to Bangalore. I just want to know what kind of registration it would be. Whether New Registration? Re-Registration? I have no clue about this

It will be a fresh registration in Bangalore. If the ex showroom price in Kerala is lower than that in Bangalore, you can save some amount as tax! Re-registration is that when you apply for a new number after having an other permanent number.

Ok. What about NOC or any other documents? Is that required for registration in Bangalore?
