Every guys have different views for their polishes. Some thought that buying costly polishes will give better results but cheaper polishes are also not bad even (pls don't take it upon u, i'm just giving my opinion). For example Waxpol scooter polish gives very best smooth & awesome result. Some people don't prefer it because its cheap. But the fact its cheap because its an Indian product and not imported.

Here is my bike wax with waxpol scotter polish (click on the photo to see the larger view)

    Here is the another one.

BTW, how much you have paid for it? Its weight?

              • Hello all ( especially Pinaki Ji ) , I bought Waxpol Orange Colored Tub yesterday after hearing good reviews of it. I had been using formula 1 carnauba wax till now, but this time I wanted to try some different product as I came to know that Formula 1 is little abrasive. Now came surprise to me when I opened Waxpol tub, wax is of dark green color !!! All carnauba waxes that I have used till now are creamish in color. If any one has been using Waxpol, please let me know if this color of Wax is fine ??

Yes absolutely you have the right wax. Apply it, and buff it as soon as becoming haze, for example when u were applying on the tank, apply on one side, and when u applied on the other side, buff the previous one. Don't let it dry otherwise will become quite difficult to buff.
                  Do post your result.

Thanks,I will try Waxpol during next wax session !! My list of detailing tools for my car/bike are

                    1. Waxpol Auto Polish/ Turtle Hard shell Liquid wax ( I rushed and bought Turtle as I got little apprehensive after seeing dark green color of waxpol )

                    2. Waxpol Vinyl and leather polish ( Now it is coming with UV guard, so hoping it will be better for plastic parts under sunlight )

                    3. Eagle one Car Shampoo ( 1 Ltr can costed somewhere arnd 700 rs about 6 months back ), this one I am using for more than 2 years and it is really good.

                    4. 2 Microfiber Cloths.

                    5. Wash Sponge.

This could have been taken one notch higher. Instead of applying Collinite directly over the previous coat, you could have scrubbed it off with a rubbing compund first.

No need to go for prep compound of Collinite which is equally costly as their waxes, but local compounds such as Motomax 2K rubbing compound can do the same work at fraction of the cost. Collinite's are good investments, don't doubt it. For buffing it initially, I would recommend you to visit a professional detailer and provide them your Collinite 476 and then ask them to run the orbital. Buffing with orbital actually provides you a chance to bring "out" the real shine from carnauba waxes and will last for few months until next application.

                      Cheers

Shouldnt we leave rubbing to professional detailers ?? There is chance of getting clear coat out...if rubbing is done improperly.

Please do not even buy rubbing-compounds , unless in some dire straits . It is a drastic measure and intended only to be used by professional paint finishers for the purpose of paint finishing only . We bikers should have nothing to do with such stuff ordinarily . Same with rotary polishers - they can strip your paint in a second , leave it to people who are adept in it's use . Again , we bikers should have nothing to do with these devices .
An wash now and then with ordinary mild household detergent powder solution in water is what all my bike manufacturers have ever asked me to do , and I just do that . Additionally maybe a bit of wax or shine now and then . Kaafi Hai !

                              • As long as it takes for the wax to dry to a haze visibly .

Please do not quote a previous message un-nessarily , it makes the thread cluttered and difficult to read . This is my humble request to all please .
