Re: Motorcycle Detailing Thread
I have used it on my car and bike. Its pretty good. Easy to apply with hands. Biggest advantage is Meguiars claim you can apply it under sun as well which is rare as most polishes want you to apply them in shade.Originally posted by #bpk View Post

Re: Motorcycle Detailing Thread
Has anybody opted for 3M PPF on their bike ? I spoke to 3M to get PPF and they quoted some ₹6500 for tank, front and rear bumpers. Ceramic coating will set me back by ₹8000.
I heard that 3M PPF will show some yellow discoloration after a couple of years. Is this true ?
As for ceramic coating, how should it be maintained.
Which one should I opt for ? Kindly excuse for noob questions as I have very little knowledge in detailing. I am looking to keep the shine on and make it easier for cleaning as I will not have time to regularly wash the bike. Please advise. TIA

Re: Motorcycle Detailing Thread
Hello everyone.
My question is simple. I'm planning to do some adjustments to my bike and that's why I need some decent and durable lift. I'm currently looking through this article on yourmotobro and thinking that it's also supposed to be universal if I'm gonna use it with other bikes, you know, as one-time purchase. Any help? Thanks.

Re: Motorcycle Detailing Thread
You 'll have to clean the bike, nothing will change that , the ppf film will protect the bike from swirl marks and minor scratches. But the film would be put in parts on the tank, so that would be visible.Originally posted by shyam.mora View PostHas anybody opted for 3M PPF on their bike ? Which bike do you have? You can do the normal polishing and waxing stuff at home as well, that's what i do on GT 650Peace

I have PPF on my bike. PPF will show slight discoloration or creamishness on portions where there is white paint.
So PPF is not recommended on white painted areas. It works best on dark colored areas.
I have had PPF for more than 4 years and very happy with it.
PPF is more of a protection and Ceramic is more for Shine and Wet Gloss look.

Re: Motorcycle Detailing Thread
Okay guys, I have read through the previous posts on the thread and some google searches too.
Should it be okay to a PPF and a Ceramic coating both ? I mean would it adversely affect the ceramic coating.
Now it’s quite crucial for me to know this and be sure of it since I am planning to do it to my bike as well as my car.
Also, any review about carzspa and Autotriz both are into ceramic coating but PPF is done by carzspa.
Have not heard good reviews about the 3M coat as it seems to develop swirl marks quite easily as compared to other coats and ppf like llumor that’s available in the market.Last edited by Astrix; 08-24-2020, 02:35 AM.
