^^ yeah, the windscreen is the biggest problem for me too...
first of all, it's dark, so only daytime videos
secondly, there is such a narrow window for the cam that, as motionfreak just pointed out to me, the vdo seems a bit claustrophobic
But at least it's pretty stable.. if I raise the cam too much, I'll be losing out on the stability ... let's see how things go

I saw some pics of the tank mount on mayur's bike,Sadly I didn't archive them in my mail and now I currently am unable to locate those pics

Still I'd say that the work done on that mount is typical Indian jugaad mixed with pure ingenuity.

Testing out the best settings for night video on the GoPro camera aboard my Yamaha R15 (stock bike). Video quality is decent but this is clearly a daytime camera. This is taken at 25fps with spot metering and seems to be the best setting for this sort of video under low light. There is some vibration noise from the camera mount, forgot to use the vibration reduction attachment.

Guys, can anyone suggest me a good video editing software?

I have 3-4 videos but can't mix them properly. The Ulead Video Editor crashes whenever I open it!!

I'm helpless bro. The richest man in world sells 7 year old Windows XP at Rs. 9000, that too, to a customer from a third world country.
But yes, I will purchase it sometime...

@ ketan & killer: Thanks guys for the suggestion. I will try them but in the meantime, I had to use my Nokia N8's video editor... My PC had no such solution.

So, the videos taken with a mobile, inside a bag with a hole and mobile compartment were like this:

YouTube - Pulsar 180 UG3 Bag Camera Video (Samsung innov8)

In the end, there is a part about a goof up I made, resulting in the video getting shot from wrong angle. Watch it guys & comment...

@Samarth --- Didn't watch the whole vdo, but it seems pretty decent, in fact, pretty good.

PS: Dude, where's your bike key?

@ Avin - At night use spot metering like i did, if you use center metering the speedo becomes overexposed on the R15 (because of the bright backlight). Spot metering is used when in a dark area looking out to a brighter area so the camera just calculates exposure from the smaller area of what it can see vs a much larger area when on center metering. Also in very bright conditions during day, when riding towards the sun you may get a focussed speedo but everything outside becomes too bright, here again you can sort of fix this by using spot metering. Additionally you also need to update the GoPro firmware to be able to record at 25fps in PAL mode. 30fps and above will result in a darker video and not good for low light. I had all this done on my previous video and still had overexposure of the speedo in areas where there is no streetlight. I've figured out how to correct that in post editing so thats not an issue now.

But that said this definitely is not a night cam!
