Have u tried iridium? It seems that hunk, unicorn nd fz share the same ngk spark plug so they don't have iridium ones, I read in the fz thread that Honda shines is a direct fit.

Never tried Iridium. I don't think Iridium is justifiable for Unicorn.
Fz and Unicorn have same spark plug. So if a spark plug fits correctly in FZ then it should fit Unicorn also.
Anyway I am satisfied with G-Power, no need to clean at all.

This worked wonders in CT-100(with G-power). Tested for 800kms.
But Unicorn coughed sometimes, so discontinued immediately.

That seem wrong, y would somebody cut off the electrodes? And is that spark plug the Bosch dual electrode? That also is supposed to be pretty good for uni according to the thread link I posted earlier check it out. How much is the g power price?

Last ngk G-Power I got was ₹120.00 , it was the CR7H-GP model ( the standard model CR7H-SA of this same type was ₹60.00 ) . No need to clean or adjust ever , the firing tip is always clean and white , very smooth firing at all revs . Bang for your buck .

Thanks for the help sandeepcf and pinaki G power seems lik a safe bet I guess I'll go with that itself, it should provide noticeable performance and FE compared to my current worn out nd incorrect Bosch plug.

CPR8EA-GP9 price is Rs.200 (2007) make(the shop is selling 2007 ones only, may be no body bought them). I get a discount of Rs.25.

Just purchased that twin electrode one for rs.110. Its not as good as G-Power. The engine crispness is lost. I am sticking to G-Power, no second thoughts at all.

Maybe it needs a few days testing, I'm buying G power for now will test the twin or quad electrode next time.

What exactly is the use of twin electrode? I mean the spark will always occur in the shortest path or not?

Maybe if one electrode gets spoiled the other is like a backup anyway I changed my plug today to g power got a 2012 one for 200rs, cleaned the Carb also which was super dirty, changed the head gasket and got the tappet adjusted too, don't see much change maybe ill know tomorrow morning if I still have the cold start issue.
And here's my old plug, sorry for the bad quality pics

My old plug was Bosch r6, and this is the pic I found when I Googled it :-D

@ sinnerz2000 The Bosch R^ does not match with your bikes spark plug. See the number of threads it has and your bike's plaug has. Your bike has more threads.

Yea I guess that's why I was getting poor performance , my bikes previous owner had put the Bosch plug.

No buddy, The plug is NGK CPR8EA-9 This is the same plug as in Yamaha Fazer and Fz 16s.. The Plug looks apt for your bike. CPR8EAGP-9 (Go power) is for extended high speed rides on a Unicorn.

Even when you look at the plug(though the pic is not clear), half the plugs tread is black and half clear - Which means that the plug is very well suited for the bike and its temperature rating is optimum.

When all the threads are black, its too hot rated. When its just the first ring that is black, its cold.

The plug I'm holding in the pic is the Bosch r6, and the pic I took from Google is also the r6 which is for another vehicle. While buying the gpower today the shop guy tried to sell me some cr8 model gpower with 0.8mm gap, I told him my bikes model is cpr8 nd he tol me its all the same, I refused nd tol him to give the cpr8 itself nd compared nd showed the diff bet the threads and gap difference, the cpr8 has 0.9mm gap.

Hope you are aware about this - http://www.ngksparkplugs.com/techinf...tnumberkey.pdf

Its the last digit of the plug that decides the gap between the tip. CPR8EA-9 has 0.9 mm gap. But CR8...-9 can also have that gap.
