similar thing happend with me, because of which i finally removed it. I will add few things here, first these alarms branded or unbranded are not very sensitive, which means your bike is still not safe from petrol thefts, second, these days you get alarms which alerts you on your remote as well, available at jc road

Oh great..if we knw or blink from our remote then it should be good right???
So we can adjst with some lesser sound on alrm and a beep sound in remote...what will be the price for that? nad in jc road which shop? and tell me if the guys in service station will know to fit this or what?

Oh why u removed the alarm mr:rahuldevnath ??? Is the problem with battery or with any other problems????

It all depends upon where you fix the alarm(since you are very much eager to fix it go ahead) be with the mechanic when he is fixing the alarm......
I am not that much eager to do this...I will thnk about it once u all give me ur responds..then i will decide about this

Instead, you can fix a wheel lock as it does not have any effect on the battery and costs around 100 bucks.

I removed it because simply people, especially kids would pmay around it. secondly i managed to get my remote soaked in rain which resulted in my bike switching off automatically in mid way. the remote has to be kept seperately and safe from water, but didn't had any problem with battery whatsoever.

Yes I too faced this issue --- whenever i give ma bike for Water Service....One or the other problem rises up....
Selfstart will not work.....Blinkers will not work......

I've seen Disc brake locks on lots of bikes. Is that really worth the money ?

                What's the cost ?

I got a Xena Disc Alarm Lock for my ZMR and I personally feel its very useful. I got it for around $70 (Rs 3200/-) from a friend who was traveling back from US.
