Water and fog repellents for rain riding

If you are a regular rider, sooner or later you will have to ride in rain. No matter how well you are prepared the nature has the ability to take you by surprise.
Riding in rain is equally fun and dangerous. We can't just stop riding every time it rains. can we? Visibility is one of the main concerns when you are out there.
So I started preparing myself for rain rides to make them comfortable. My main concern is touring where I cannot afford to stop and wait for the rain to go away.
Rain suits, boots, rain covers luggage, hazard lights, high visibility vest - all check.
Then there was the visibility issue..
Can't see a thing if I close the visor, rain droplets on the outside and fog on the inside. One has to ride considerably fast for the fog to go away, which I can't risk when its raining.
Open the visor the droplets prick u like needles.
I then decided to get motocross goggles.. OK hang on I can't use that on everyday rides. I needed something which I can keep in the bike and be ready to face the nature's surprise.
After a bit of searching, I found transparent plastic goggles at Decathlon. Easily fits in the bike, good visibility, no irrigation to wear..
Used it for 200kms straight up, very good day light and night.. Kept me safe from dust.. just wen I was feeling confident there was the rain
I thought it was good opportunity to check how comfortable it is and rode on.
It was very good for a while and then droplets started getting collected on the glasses, road wasn't completely visible, there was glare from oncoming vehicles.
I had to wipe the glasses every 2 minutes.. It wasn't easy at all.. Had to stop eventually.
Its almost back to square one now..
Is there anyone who has fought this issue with a worthy solution?
Rain repellants? Are they a good option?
Is there any goggles designed for this purpose?
Or wiping of the water is only way out?
    Thanks in advance

The simplest way which i have found most effective over the years is just to open the visor by an inch or so. Visor doesn't fog up. Rain bounces of the visor, you can see adequately. Rain doesn't hit your face, because there is not enough space for the raindrops to hit your helmet.
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

I can share one technique used by highway driver.they rub wet tobacco on windshield to stop droplets collection.however I have never tried it by myself.what i do is apply bike polish on visor to make it slippery for water but this option is almost impossible during touring .whereas due to high revenue generation tobacco is omnipresent.if somebody try tobacco technique and find it useful ,please let all of us know.

I don't like riding in the rain. Obviously i adapt my speed, but another key factor is the tyres i use and their level of wear.

            Especially for Bangalore rains:
Find a shelter ASAP when it starts raining cos
            1)
            2) Wind speed is pretty high when you are riding with a not so heavy bike.
(I use a Honda Aviator in Bangalore..: D)
Watch out for the speed Breakers; be double slow while you are negotiating with it.
As Most of them features attached puddles, might be a bit deep for all we know last thing we need is to have a fall in the slippery surface.
            Generally
            1) Avoid cornering, take it easy on the corners on a rainy day as the traction reduces significantly.
            2) Leave your headlights on; as it not only provides more visibility, it alerts others about your presence as well.
            3) Carry yellow colored driving glasses, I have heard that they are better in rainy and misty conditions than shades and clear glasses.
I have the yellow glasses and they help a lot.its really good.I agree with your above points as in Bangalore it rains a lot.specially its been almost 1 week its raining.the main problem with glasses is the accumulation of fog.however I can say that in Decathelon you get the Yellow glasses for 299 nd they re pretty damn good.specially at nights they give aweosme visibility.
