  • [xBhp Universal Thread]: How do you lock ur Helmets???

What are the different ways of locking the helmet to the bike??

i want to know how some ppl lock there helmets under the seat.

    Universal Topic Approved.

I NEVER lock my helmet on the bike. It gets dirty, gets scratches and ofcourse it gets less durable that way. Instead, I just carry it with me wherever I go. In places where helmets are not allowed, like cinema halls, etc., I make it a point to deposit the lid in such a place, where it WILL be safe, or I take public transport!

carry helmet with me.. its bad practice to leave helmet with bike. It gets spoilt, scratched, not to mention the bacteria, muck and dirt that enters the lining spoiling your scalp further.

After spoiling two helmets by locking them onto the grabrails, I stopped locking them onto my bikes. The shell gets scratched&the lining gets dusty&in turn affects your scalp&face.
I carry them around wherever I go-at office I keep it on my desk&I always have a spare helmet bag with me kept in my bike under the seat, in case I need to keep the helmet in some shelf or under the seat in a mall/theatre.

Brother I don't think that is such a good idea. You're actually quite lucky that nobody has cut your helmet straps with a blade and ran off with the helmet. My friends have had this ordeal dealt upon them. It's better to have a cycle lock (the kind with the number lock on it) and lock the helmet with the grab rails or the leg guard.
A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel.

Used to lock the helmet and leave it with the bike.. Last year it was stolen, so from that day, I carry my helmet wherever I go after parking my bike..

                      Never !!
Carry wherever possible & avoid places where helmets are not allowed. If I have to, then keep with a local shop who charges Rs 10/- for that. I have taken my helmet @ interview too !!

Funny thing happened to me in my office parking lot. Some guy took my helmet (Studds) and replaced it with Steel head brand and placed it on my tank. Yes its my mistake that I didnt lock it, considering no one will do such act in a reputed company.

Anyway looking to buy a new helmet once I get my CL350 in 4 weeks. I WILL carry my new helmet with me whereever I go, have no intentions to lock it in Bike .

Fz has a helemt locker under the seat, hook the helmet to the hook under the seat and lock the seat. helmet will stay locked. Its pretty nice feature.

Like most of us here, I too carry my helmet wherever I go, as the R15 doesn't have any place I can lock the helmet to (yeah, there is an under-seat lock, but it damages the side section of the bike.
I used to lock the helmet on my older bike (using cable lock), & keep it under the seat in my Dio.
