    1. Is it advised to complete the run in with mineral oil? My bike has already clocked 1800kms on the company's default oil.
    2. How much difference do semi synthetic and fully synthetic oils make?
    3. Do I need to fully drain out the engine? I mean except for the normal drain plug removal is there any extra procedure required?
    4. Which oil should I go for? I was reading the thread and wanted know between Motul 7100 and 300v. Or any other recommended brand?

    Thanks in advance!

And regarding Motul 5100 it costs around 500, better get AX7 its 375 or less, depending on the shop. And different bikes work well with different oils.

Mobil1,Shell AX5 and Shell Rimula R3x you can get at the store on the right of the IOC bunk, opposite to Upasana Hospital, on the left of the same bunk there's a shop that sells Petronas oils. And if you go straight towards beach, just before the bridge on the right side is a Shop where you can get OEM oils as well, they had Shell Ultra and a even a few from Wurth, Savsol etc.

And as for Motul, you can get all of them at NN Autoconnect after entering beach road, you have to go past the scrap dealers, there'll you'll see the shop.

As for AX7, im still searching for it. :'(

Thanks for the info. The query was more towards the actual difference in performance while using full synthetic- 300v or semi synthetic- 5100/7100 and which brand is best to go with

5100 is Semi Synthetic and 300V/7100 is full synthetic. All these oil perform exceptionally well. 5100 is around Rs. 550, 7100 Rs. 850, 300V Rs. 1000+ (indicative prices).

I think for a low-stressed engine like yours, the 300V would be totally overkill. In fact, when I used 300V on the CBR250, it only started coming into its own only after a few tens of kilometers had passed, and I could start feeling the difference between it and the 5100 after a considerable distance had been covered. And bear in mind that the CBR250 is a more stressed engine than the TB500 engine.

In fact, if you look that the results of the product recommendation that I posted above, the 300V is not even among the recommended results. Surely the oil manufacturer would know more than we do.

Come to think of it, in my opinion, it would be best to save the money and go for the 5100. It is a very good oil any which way, and I'm sure you won't be disappointed. If you'd like to really go for a synthetic oil, then no harm in going for the 7100 either. But the 300V would bring you no added benefit.

Exactly what I wanted to know, thanks a lot. I'd go for the 5100 only then

Congrats bro, my search still continues, actually there's a store just a few meters from my college that sells AX7, but I'll be carrying luggage when I ride back home, so not opting for it, lets see, if by some fortune I'll be able to find it in my district itself.

And regarding the stressed engine thing, stressed engines need better oils, and when it comes to comparing displacement, a small displacement stressed engine has higher oil requirement with respect to higher displacement stressed engine. Cause they run at a comparatively higher rpm when it comes to highways.
