Got it, will stick to that rule.. motul 5100 4t in summer and motul 20w40 in winters and most importantly oil filter change. Thanks again bro.

Don't shuffle between mineral and SS, if you're using SS then stick to that only

Motul 3000 is techno synthese, I suppose its a semi synthetic, in reality a highly refined mineral, but heck its better than most/all minerals.

Motul 3000 is plain mineral, motul 3100 gold is technosynthese.

When you can buy 3100 gold 20w50? Almost same price!
Almost same grade
I poured in motul 3100 gold yesterday draining my shell pennzoil since had a spare can, next oil my favourite motul 5100

When you can buy 3100 gold 20w50? Almost same price!

Not same price, I guess there's a 100+ rs difference, motul 5100 is the best SS you can get but its way too expensive.

Duty rates on lubricating oils is as follows
1. 10% basic duty.
2. Landing charge 1% CIF.
3. Countervailing duty 12% Cifd + landing charge.
4. Cess 3% duty + countervailing duty.
5. Additional countervailing duty 4%.

countervailing duty means duties that are imposed in order to counter the negative impact of import subsidies to protect the domestic producers are called countervailing duties.

That's like 30% tax cumulative if I can trust my math skills.

Apart from that import duty, we have 14.5% VAT here in Karnataka, that makes 44.5% tax in total; right?

yes motul 5100 4t 15w50 ss is simply awesome.. no other engine oil can make run a bajaj bike smoother than this. I told my mechanic to take a ride of my bike and asked him to guess how old my engine oil is he said 2200kms.. but actually it was 3400+ kms. yeah its very expensive 520 rs, but drain interval is also high

To me, motul 3100 gold costs 300₹[350₹ rate + I always get a 50₹ cash coupon inside the bottle ]
