                      Brothers,

Last night when i was washing my NS i looked at engine and to my horror i found the little oil level see through glass totally empty.

I had a one year old motul 15w30 oil at my place and i poured some in the NS engine. I poured till it showed half in that oil level area.
                      Recommended oil is 20w50.

After that i just idled my bike for 1 minute and rode it today for 5 kms.
Will anything bad happen as i used wrong oil.

Should i get it changed asap?

The bike has covered roughly 3500 kms since last service.

Does NS have a center stand? If no, how did you check the oil level in the glass? If yes, neglect the previous question.
I hope you did not over fill.
                        Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

Yes my NS has a stand. Got it installed a week after i bought it.

                          I filled it half only.

You see, any oil having the "consistency" at the KMS you've mentioned depends largely on the bike, the way one rides and the ambient temperature itself. Check your manual, and check the grade that's mentioned. For example, if your manual states you to use, a 10w40, consider using a 10w50 for more "thickness and properties" using the same grade oil with different brand won't do much good. And don't worry, oils become black after 300 to 400 and it's perfectly normal, which means the oil is doing its job fine.

                                Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                                The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

                                THE END
