Bought Gulf 4T......

To ensure a smooth ride for Sunday G2G, bought 1L x 2 Gulf Pride 4T.
Shop vendor quoted Rs.210/-(M.R.P Rs.221/-), Metro price was Rs.167/-, no prizes for guessing where I got it from~!
Got home late yesterday so will change the oil today.(Busy with another project, will probably take its wraps off today~!)

Thought to try Power 1 Racing. Have done about 200kms after oil change, didn't notice much difference as Uni already is smooth. But gear shifts are better and COLD start problem is almost NIL.

Which oil to use

Guys I have bought an gladiator RS and I am wondering which oil to use.Should I stick with the yamalube or shall I go for gulf 4T.

OIL Grade: 20W40 type SG

And also in the manual It is given as

Periodic oil change : 1.0L
Total amount : 1.2L(First fill/Overhaul)

Now my doubt is during services should 1.0l oil or 1.2l should be filled in.I have read in previous posts that 1.2l should be filled then why do all manufacturers supply 1.0l cans instead of 1.2l

And also can I try gulf synthetic 10W30 in my bike as my bike's oil grsde is 20W40.HYDBIKER once said that synthetic oils should not be tried until first 3 servicings.

I don't think Gulf make any fully synth oil?? Their 10W30 oil is labelled as synthetic blend. It is NOT fully synthetic. You should not be using this is you bike anyway.

Better you stick to Yamaha lube, at least initially. Later you can try Gulf Pride 20W40.

You will require 1 L oil for normal oil changes.

I am newbie. Need a suggestion about da engine oil. I have a pulsar 180 UG III and i am using Castrol Power1 engine oil. Is it the suitable oil for ma bike?

Nopes. Your bike needs 20W50 oil, if I recall correctly. Castrol Power 1 is not for you!

Need some inputs on Motul 3000V 4T Plus (20w40). Heard that TVS guys are using it(need to confirm during my next service this weekend though). If it is good enough, I'll stick to it.

P.S. I'm planning to change to Iridium Spark plug&synthetic oil at my 50K service(3K kms.away). Any recommendations?
