I am using it in my passion pro. Drain interval is 6k kms. I am satisfied by its performance

How does a 6,000 kms run gulf-pride synth engine-oil look like?

3,000 kms run mineral oil is pretty bad to look at, not sure about it's chemical/lubing properties at working temps.

Gulf pride 4t synth is synthetic oil.
And i am using it in my bike from first service. Now bike clocked 40k kms without any engine problem.
Hero's recommend drain interval is 6k kms!!
After 6k kms oil looks dark amber colour, not dark black.

My CBR has clocked 41500kms. I was about to change the engine oil of my CBR 150r as it was due and I thought why not switch to another make. I was using Honda Throttle 4T 10w30 but my disappointment increased with the kilometers. I researched a lot and narrowed down my research to

              1. Motul 300v 10w40
              2. Motul 7100 10w40
              3. Mobil1 Racing 4T 10w40
              4. Shell Advance Ultra 10w40

I've read many reviews on all these engine oils and finally decided to go for Motul.
As per Motul, Honda CBR 150 was recommended Motul 7100 10W40 100%Synthetic.

The viscosity was way too different than the honda's, as pointed out by my mechanic. As soon as I pressed the start switch after oil change the firing sounded incredible. It was much smoother and lower then earlier. Vibrations were less. The pickup has improved incredibly and the acceleration lag is vanished. It feels much better as if its the first ride from the showroom. Guys if warranty allows, go for Motul 7100.

Good oil but doesn't hold that well when engine runs hot.
Can you experts here suggest me a good w30/40 grade oil ??
Try Motul 7100 10w40 100% Synthetic. Used for my CBR 150r. Awesome Oil. Superior than Honda Throttle 10w30

SVC's don't allow it in their premise. However my SVC mechanic did it anyway as we've became friends over the years.

I would still buy Motul 10w40 mineral @300/- for they've JASO MA2 certification.

Hi all, is it ok to use Motul 7100 4T Fully Synthetic 20W-50 for Yamaha Fazer? Currently using Motul 300V 15W-50.

One of my friends suggested to change it to 7100 20W-50 next time.

i used motul oil in my bike this time. Its a 900 ml pack but my bike needs 1 Ltr as per manual. Should 900 ml be enough? Do they come in smaller packs of 100 ml?

                              7100 20w50 should be fine.

Did you check the oil level after adding 900ml on your bike ? If not, please check the oil level first and then add more if needed.
If the manual mentioned 1 litre (for drain and refill), and you have drained the oil properly.. ideally you should be filling up 1 litre, but it's always better to add a little less and then check it once and top up if necessary.
And unfortunately you will not be able to buy oil in 100ml packs, you will need to get another bottle or borrow from a friend who has some left over.
From the next time, pick up oil in a 1 litre bottle.. these are easily available from most brands.
