Engine Oil (Mineral) for my P135LS
I am having Pulsar 135 LS. It is run about 350 km still now. The colour of the engine oil has turned black. So, I want to change the engine oil.
Please, suggest me a good mineral based engine oil in 20W50 or 15W50 grade.
Could anyone please tell me the full name of the mineral oil from Motul suitable for my bike and its cost.sigpic

But, here motul is not easily available so will have to hunt for it in all the shops. Here, the svc also doesn't say anything if I pour my own oil in the bike, so no problems on that part.Originally posted by umeshkumawatsa View PostWell buddy just pour motul 3100 15w50 in your bike. But, could you please tell me the exact price of a 1 L bottle, so that I don't end up paying more.

check your required grades with YAMAHA SVC,YAMALUBE is a re-badged MOTUL,so if you dont find any shops selling MOTUL get YAMALUBE,but its priced 30 rs approx etc.Originally posted by YoungBoy_220 View PostThanks, I will try to get hold of Motul 3100 15w50 and pour it in my bike. comparison produced in engine + heat + dust make them black and please don't suggest wrong answers to newbies to increase your post engine oil is very serious part of your bike its like a blood for your bike.If you have blood group of B+ and Doctor gives you AB+ or A+ blood group then what will you feel YoungBoy don't be too young use your head and read owner manual before doing anything...

@Zayn : Few of your Points are right...
@YoungBoy_220 : As far as a New bike is concerned you have to stick to the service centres atleast untill all the Free services are Over....
Please do not choose an Engine oil as your own ......

+++1 to that
and from last 2 pages there are many new xbhpians with newer hearts
screaming for whats good oil.... whats good brand.....blah blah....
first let complete ur free service coupons and understand u r new baby
then think about other things say at 5-8k
and last thing ,more than we think about our baby every manufacture have more knowledge about it and provide the best, and even if it provide avg oil also it will worked because after all it will be in running in and assuming driving in low & mid rpms.

No, in the Owner's Manual, the grade of engine oil is mentioned as 20W50.Originally posted by abhilashabhi12 View PostDude is'nt P135 required 20W40 Grade oil ???
Ok, I will check that too.Originally posted by RanjithMN View Postcheck your required grades with YAMAHA SVC,YAMALUBE is a re-badged MOTUL,so if you dont find any shops selling MOTUL get YAMALUBE,but its priced 30 rs approx etc.
It seems you are a bit angry on me. Sorry, if I am too worried about colour of engine oil. In the Owner's Manual, the required grade of engine oil is mentioned 20W50 and the recommended oil is Bajaj DTS-i 10000, which is a new engine oil developed by Bajaj which will last till 10000 kms. (as stated in the manual). But, here at the svc, they are using Elf engine oil. So, I thought of using Motul Mineral oil (which I think will be better than Elf Oil given at the svc) during 1st service.Originally posted by zayn View PostTrue abhilashabhi12 its a 135 not 200cc bike I don't understand why people are so worried about colour and engine oil bike has done only 350 no service done and straight away to engine oil thread I WON'T TO CHANGE OIL WHICH ONE IS GOOD ...

The service centre here puts Elf engine oil in all bikes. They also don't object if anybody takes his own engine oil bottle to them and get it poured by them. So, I thought of using Motul mineral oil (which I think is better than Elf oil given by them) at 1st service.Originally posted by Thunder View Post^^

Try finding out from ur the SVC or Bike dealer where u can get the Bajaj Oil. which lasts 10,000km (I'm not really sure about the authenticity of this claim).
see, Whichever oil u go in for, make sure its of the recommended greade. Dont compromise on that Dude.
Remember that the first few thousand kilometres on ur bike is the most important.Never Argue with an Idiot !!!

20w50 for a 135cc mill.. May be it has something to do with the 4 Valve high revving technology.
Dude reg the oil - Stick to what SVC gives for at least 2-3 free services, if it is really pathetic then look for any other good oil in the required grade.sigpicAll India Permit 1+1

Here, in the Bajaj SVC, the Bajaj DTS-i 10000 oil has not arrived yet. I also can't believe the claim of 10000 kms. Ya, I will strictly follow the grade, i.e., 20W50 (as mentioned in the manual).Originally posted by Coplay@180 View PostTry finding out from ur the SVC or Bike dealer where u can get the Bajaj Oil. which lasts 10,000km (I'm not really sure about the authenticity of this claim).

I also think that it is because of the 4 valve technology, 20W50 is stated in manual. My friend having P150 UGIV said that the svc here gives Elf engine oil to all bikes and he is not satisfied with that oil (which is poured in his bike at 1st service). So, I am trying to avoid that oil and use good oil in 20W50 grade.Originally posted by abhilashabhi12 View Post
