Yes dealer should have told me, he didn't i asked him about, it was discount of 5 bucks
he has garage as well, didn't charged me for changing oil

Can anyone suggest a good semi synthetic oil for ZMR and which grade to opt for ? My bike has done over 5200 kms and due for an oil change soon. I have been using the recommended HH oil so far but planning to switch to semi synthetic.

Any inputs in this regard would be appreciated. Thanks

Best semi synthetic oil is motul 5100 just go for it.

It is referred to as Technosynthese on their website, does it mean it is semi synthetic ?

Hey try different engine oils and decide for yourself. The more you dig into the technology the more confused you will become. Unicorn gives very good and noticable feedback with different engine oils and all you need is listen to what the engine says. I ve already listed my experience with different oils on Unicorn. 10w30/40 gives very good response to throttle. 20w40 normal, 15w50300v motul - no no, 10w40 300v - no no.haven't tried 10w50 synthetics by both elf and castrol.10w30 lasts only 1600kms. 20w40 lasts longer. with 10w30 my Unicorn accelerates fast and reaches 115kmph very easily, but a little sluggish with 20w40. If you want to for 20w40 gulf pride is the best. Motul 3000 worked good only for 1500kms.

Since sandeep has first-hand experience on various oils on the unicorn you should go by him .. Thanks Sandeep .My preference is 20w40 whatever.

Shell Advance AX7 Semi Synthetic Oil

Hi EveryBody,

I own a Pulsar 150 dtsi 2006 Model
In my last service i used Shell Advance Ultra 4T 10W40 Fully Synthetic and bike my bike performancis awesome from then also i gets the nice milage.
So in last week of this month its time to change oil and do servicing again.
I like to know now can i go with semi synthetic oil Shell Advance AX7 ?
Please let me know.But after using Shell oil my bike has a big change,engine become so smooth,nice milage .

im currently using shell advance vsx 4t 10w40 ss oil and trust me this oil is like it is made for zmr.
i have used motul 5100 4t 15w50 once, the problem with this oil is the bike dosent rev freely hence ull experience reduce in acceleration...
motul: price: 450/l
shell: price: 280/l

you can do the switch but the feel of semi-synth is not comparable to full-synth.
And second thing, pulsar dont likes thin oils.. So if you wanna use SS then try out motul 5100 15w50
