P150 classic loves 15w50 motul oil. The name is Motul 3000 4t 15w50. (just my opinion).

            • Hey guys finally i procured Motul 7100 with loads of difficulty.Procuring 7100 is a pain in mumbai. But finally i hit a jackpot and called up Atlantic Lubes in Ghatkopar East who are the official importers of Motul in Mumbai. And they redirected to a guy named Amit who works for Motul. And i explained to him my plight regarding 7100.He tried to arrange 7100 from nearby locations but in vain it was not in stock. Finally he told me that "I'll see to it you get the 7100 in 2days" This was an very stern and firm answer he gave me.After a day he called me and told me that he would personally come to deliver the oil!! I was very happy with the kind of service Motul gave me!!

He personally handed over the oil to me yestday(20-11-11) and also told me that why local shopkeepers do not stock High end Motul oils.I had an 30mins chat with him too.He has very vast knowledge of oils too,he went to the depth of making me understand the various groups and grades of engine oils He has visited the Motul factory in France too.He happily told me too post his number on xbhp too.His work is to see to it that all dealers, distributors etc are gettin the stock on time.I told him to keep two centralised Motul pickup points for central side guys.He agreed to work on it soon.He also told me that I would soon expect a call from Motul France for feedback on my purchase and stuff

Xbhpian's from Mumbai feel free to contact him anytime if u have problems procuring Motul anytime and can give my reference too (Aaron)

              • ^^Thanks for sharing buddy. That was helpful, saved that guy's number. The grades 10W40,20W50 in Motul are really hard to find.

                • Going to switch to FS oil from stock mineral oil in a day or two in my ZMR... Confused between Shell Advance Ultra 10w40 and Castrol Power1 Racing 10w40... Somewhere I heard that Motul 300v 10w40 is very good oil but not that good for ZMR so not considering it... Please help...

Edit - Forgot to mention, my bike has done 7.5K kms...

Shell Ultra Advance has got mixed bag of reviews.Im using it in my CBZ and its done 2100kms till now.Super smooth engine and gear shifts are butter too. It's not lost its reving nature.Engine revs very freely.Only downside of this oil is the heat management.Engine heats very quickly.

The same reviews are for Castrol Powe1 racing. Some are finding it very good till 5.5k kms and some are dumping it at 1500kms.Why dont u go for Motul?? You can try Motul 300V FL 15w50 or Motul 7100 20w50.You will love both the oil's for sure

I don't want to use thicker grade... Just want 10w40 or 10w50... One of the members in XBHP told me that motul is not that good for ZMR, but yes if I get some more encouragement (based on experience), I'll go for motul..

Motul is good for any bike.It all depends on how you've maintained ur bike. You only have one oil available in 10w50 grade and that is Elf Moto4 Xt tech 10w50 FS oil.See if u can get it nearby ur location. It's very difficult to procure this one in mumbai.Or go for Shell Advance ultra 10w40.I wouldn't recommend Castrol cuz lot of duplicates running in the market.Very difficult to make out between original and duplicate. So its better to stay away from Castrol

                              • Hi Everybody,

I own a Pulsar 150 Dtsi and now clocked 35000 KMS.
Few months before i used Shell Advance Ultra 10w40 - Fully Synthetic in my bike and i feel the lot of change in my bike like less vibration, nice milage.
After 3500 KMS with the previous oil, i changed to Shell AX7 10w40 - Semi Synthetic and also it proved to be nice to my bike.
Again the time has came to service my bike and change the engine oil, so this time i thought to use Shell 15w40 grade fully synthetic oil.
But the 15w40 grade is not present in Shell so should i again i go with Shell Advance Ultra 10w40 - Fully Synthetic oil.

So i wanted to know will it be ok to again use the same Shell Advance Ultra 10w40 - Fully Synthetic oil ?
