This is from my personal experience.had a cramster trg 2 (full gauntlet) which had soaked in rain a couple of times.the colour faded a bit,but rest was intact.have a dsg revive which has been drenched in water several times.apart from the washed off colour(again), the gloves is still going strong.but it's no longer in production I guess.
All this is after drying them for a few days and conditioning them before usage.
you can check out the via terra grid.(full)they claim to be water resistant since it's made of goat skin.have one.yet to wear in rain.so can't comment.

I am looking for a riding pant to go with my Solace Furious(V 1.0) riding jacket and an all weather gloves. Budget is 8k and 3K respectively. Since I've found the Furious to be of very good quality and meeting all my expectations, I'm a little inclined towards Solace Coolpro riding pants. As per my knowledge, it's an underrated product - any users here? Would like to know about any other alternatives from users as well.

However, it's the pair of gloves which I am not able to decide - Solace Striker is no longer available. I did not have a very good experience with Spartan Aspida gloves(no offense to the owners). The knuckle protectors have come off after the slightest of touch with water. Any suggestion about a good pair of gloves which can withstand a little rain/water is welcome.

Been using CoolPro since a lot of time and have many friends using the same. All questions are welcome.

For gloves look at Viaterra Grid, they are pretty good.

I recently got the Viaterra Holeshot gloves and absolutely enjoy riding with it. They feel tailor made for me, the secret being ordering one size bigger. I was thinking about getting FK-R gloves but glad to have settled for these.

It's my first pair of leather riding gloves and the comfort and feel has really improved my riding confidence, after the initial breaking in period. It's decently ventilated too and grips the handlebar smoothly and firmly. It's a great to not have to remove the gloves every time and type navigation inputs on the mobile. It's a steal at Rs.2799! The red/white colour theme goes well with my Ravishing Red Interceptor as a bonus

Please suggest me a good Level 2 riding jacket below Rs.7000. It will be my first riding jacket. My shortlist is Rynox AIR GT 3 and Scala gears Marvel Jacket.

Also, how about BBG Denim jacket? Seems to have Level 2 on elbows and shoulder and kevlar lined on the same. I like the subtle look of this jacket, no one will know you are wearing one. Anything more I need to know? Is it worth Rs.6000 or I'm better of with the traditional riding jackets as I shortlisted?

Solace Rival series offers L2 armors allow round, and so is Spartan's Helios and Nemesis jackets offering all round L2 protection.

If price is your bet go for Solace followed Rynox, followed by the rest.

So I'm dismissing Scala Gears Marvel jacket from the list, since they don't seem to reveal the manufacturer of the CE L2 armours being used.

The Solace Rival series seems to be newly launched and also fits into my budget and it comes with safe-tech CE L2. The grey colour version looks good too.

They also seem to offer the Solace Defender Plus which comes with Sas-tec CE L2 armours all around at Rs5250, but it seems to be a textile jacket. Do you think it will suit me in Tamil Nadu weather. Where temperatures are humid and cross north of 38 degrees in summer.

Also please give me a small brief about Sas-tec and Safe-tech Level 2 armours. Which is one will more be comfortable yet safe etc?

With what I remember from a year back, sastec is German and safetech is Italian. Sastec is bit more elastic and takes shape of your body (to a certain extent), while Safetech is more like Knox armours.... But on the more rigid side..

Protection wise, both are L2 and hence you can go for it.

This I'm not sure. Most mesh jackets have removable armor with pockets where they are inserted. Some jackets, leather have inbuilt armors that are non-removable.

But I think for the most part, they should be removable.

On an apples to apples comparison both are great for what they have to offer. ST is German and SFT is Italian, both are L2 and are soft enough.

From a comfort point of view they shouldn't have any problem. Though the size you pick for your jacket plays a role in how comfortable you are with the fit.

That's great to know. Though I also really like the look of the Solace Gravel Denim Level 2 Riding Jeans at Rs5150. So many options to choose!

Both are almost similar, not a major difference. I won't say textile is good for warm and humid weather, get Rival. Also the price difference isn't much, Rival gets a CE level 2 back protector.

Source - I have personally been using safetech, sastec, knox, powertector, d3o and almost all good and high quality armours. I love them all since they are all unique in their offerings.

I'd pick Safetech gear just for the immense value package it offers in today's market.

Personally using Rynox Air GT3 and it has been great for me. Gets Safetech.

I've been reading some of your older posts on the same thread, thanks for imparting knowledge from your experience on riding gears.

And slowly I'm able to finalize my first riding jacket and pants. I don't want to upgrade or update anytime in next 5 years, so want to get the best gears for Indian conditions now for long term. Level 2 all around being a priority for me.

As per your posts, SAS-TEC seems to be lighter in weight and most comfortable of all the Level 2 armours due it's flexible nature. I'm inclined to get the same.

Found these from my brief research.
