Is there any place where we can get just cushion or padding for an existing jacket.

I have a joe rocket's suzuki jacket. But it has got no padding anywhere... Can it be done ??

Kriss, if its a leather jacket, see if you can manage to get stanley to hely you on this. I have heard of someone getting his leather suit repaired by them, but then he apparently knew the owner really well.

Na ...its not a leather jacket. Its a textile one. But it has got those compartments to put padding in the jacket.

i want padding on shoulders, back and at elbow. Can you help on this... any contact details if possible ??

"Hydration Pack" Wikipedia (I've used them for some time now, they're great for biking!)

If the jacket has a provision for the armor, you only need to purchase the replacement armor for your Jacket model. (have a look here, "Dennis Kirk Inc. Joe Rocket Accessories")

Checkout with the Joe Rocket dealers and get extra protectors. Your jacket should have had protectors inbuilt in it when you purchased it. No riding gear firm provides gear with just pockets for protectors. Where/Who did you buy your jacket from?

Check this link for your jacket specs if it's original. It might be a fake Chinese one if it has no C.E. protectors

i ride with my knee guards on almost all the time, while commuting and moving to and fro. once i met with an accident and luckily nothing happened to my knee coz of the guard. my R15 took the full credit complete front portion and side fairing were damaged.

The point what i am trying to put here is that you never know when your luck will run out and you will hit the road!!!!

Wow! thats a lot of riding! This is a good question you've asked as this kind of problem should not be taken lightly. If you're experiencing discomfort in the lower back and knees, first you should consult a doctor. Second you might want to look at getting a "Knee Brace" and "Lumbar Support Belt". Also, softening the suspension of your bike and a change in riding position should help.

I was referring to the practicality of the Alpinestars Bionic Knee Gaurds, not protective gear in general! (I'm very well aware of the consequences of riding without protection)

I have a long history of back pains, specially in the lower back. Small rides like 200 km are okay if done on good roads, but the longer ones that I plan to take can be pretty painful. I have medical belt for supporting the lower back, but then, I think it would be as effective on the roads. I came across a few back/kidney protectors on PlanetDSG. Do you think they can be good enough a buy when planning for a long ride on bad roads?
