I was a regular customer at cyclegear when I was in San Jose, CA. They have good price and pretty good customer service. Check on www.cyclegear.com if they have a store close to dad's location. OR order the gear online and receive at your dad's location.

hey thanx samy...but i am not really inclined towards buying anything online....my dad is there for a very short duration also....and moreover he would have been able to inspect the quality and fitting of the jacket himself before buying it for me.....online shopping will be tricky in this situation......You can take the ride away from me but you cannot take the rider out of my soul.........

My Cramster medium riding boots have arrived yesterday from Smart Designs, Mumbai. Rock solid, great features. Similar to the long design, except for the shin padding&slider. Waiting to use them on the next ride!Quench my thirst with gasoline!

Nothing beats trying before buying but you do pay more than the online shopping.Originally posted by motormania View Posthey thanx samy...but i am not really inclined towards buying anything online....my dad is there for a very short duration also....and moreover he would have been able to inspect the quality and fitting of the jacket himself before buying it for me.....online shopping will be tricky in this situation......
Locals at your dads location can help him with store locations which aren't part of any big chain. still, keep online shopping as an option in case your dad doesn't find a store close by. websites like kneedragger.com also have customer reviews that tell about the quality of product and fitting.

About AFK gloves, I used them for the last six days on a trip. My fingers are a bit sore outside near the nails, but that could also be due to my habit to ripping the skin there. Comfort is nice, no sweat at all. Mine are L, maybe a size large, so it gets a little time to get used to. The thumb can't be stretched much far from the other finger; I guess that is meant for protecting in case of injury. Sometimes the fingers go to the end of the glove fingers and it gets uncomfy,so use my teeth to make spaceOriginally posted by chauhan_saurabh View PostGuys,

Hey guys,
Can anyone post some comments about XElement, its some company whose products I heard about on a blog. Any reviews or comments would be highly appreciated.
Also, I have read through most posts here, & DSG, AngelsRacing & Cramster seem to be the brands available here at least easily. I am planning to buy a riding jacket & a pair of gloves for myself. The budget for a jacket would be around 6K & that for the gloves around 2K, & the priority is protection (armour) & comfort.
Please provide any inputs that you might have.
Take care.
Regards,
Prakhar

Yes, I have them, but the older model. It was a bit large. The new model is supposedly more sleek in design, Both are bionic.Originally posted by niks_devil666 View Posthas anyone tried the cramster bionic knee protectors

My usage says that the knee protectors are quite good quality, VFM, can be worn inside or outside, depending on choice. Good even for long duration. Can't say the same about the elbow protectors though!Quench my thirst with gasoline!
