I have heard that Rynox Air Gt rain protection is not that. Would love to hear from people if any one here is owing it.

Also please let me know if I am missing any other good jacket in this price range?
I have the Cramster breezer 4S. I use it raily quality wise its okay. Fitted with CE level 1 protection for shoulder, elbow and back. It comes with a rain liner and thermal. I used them all, and they are pretty good. I used them daily, while going and coming from office. Have used the rain liner during heavy rain and mesh gets wet, however the water dosent comes inside. The thermal also does a good job. However the mesh inside got torn couple of times and got it stiched by my self. The side pocket are also water resistant.

Not sure about Rynox, as i have not used it.
    Hope this helps.

    Thanks

The price difference in the cramster breezer and the rynox Air-GT is about Rs. 900 whilst cramster being the expensive one.

Both the Jackets will offer you the same level of protection from rain as the rain liner material is more or less the same. I have seen the Cramster mesh material and also the mesh material of the AirGT. I personally liked the AirGT fabric better as it had bigger pores and was made of thick material. Since you sweat a lot, I guess ventilation should not be a problem if you opt for the Air GT. Infact the mesh fabric used in Air GT is the same as that used by Spartan Helios Jacket (Price 7800).

Rest of the features such as protection, thermal liner fitting etc is more of less the same in both these jackets. If you have a strict budget of 6K, then i guess it makes sense to go with the Air GT as its available for Rs. 5550. If you are looking to purchase the Breezer then after spending around Rs 900 extra, you are not getting any additional feature as such..

Rather if you are able to extend your budget to 6400 (price of Cramster breezer) then i would recommend you to look around for other mesh jackets in that price range such as the Rynox Asphalt Jacket. The Asphalt Jacket is also a mesh jacket that comes with a good quality waterproof fabric (better than Air GT and breezer). Most importantly it comes with KNOX armours. KNOX are probably the best armour manufacturers out there. No other jacket in India is available with Knox at a pricepoint of 6500. The downside of Asphalt is that it does not come with a Thermal Liner. But the again, its not much of a turnoff as you can always wear a good quality thermal wear for Rs 200-300 in cold weathers. At 6500 what you will get is Knox safety and since you we are discussing about buying a protective jacket, safety should be our topmost concern above everything else.

        Hope this helps!

          My budget is around 10K (Jacket 5.5-6.5K , Gloves 1-2K, KneeGuard- 1-2K)
If you could stretch your budget a bit I would recommend the TBG Breed jacket from Lets gear up at HSR Bangalore. It retails for 7.9k and you could go to the store and pick up the best fit for you (sizes start from S and go all the way up to 3XL)

These come with level 2 CE rated armor for shoulders, elbows and back. It has an inner thermal liner and an external raincoat which fits in a nifty back pouch. Quality is pretty good and I chose it over the SPG Helios which is at the same price point but without a CE rating for its back armor.

Coming to gloves, 1k will fetch you the DSG MotoMesh among others, which has no protective layer whatsoever. You will have to stretch your budget to atleast 2.5 to get knuckle and palm guards without which gloves dont make sense. You should get the DSG Nitro for around 2.5k.

Am looking for a knee guard myself and planning to pick up the SPG Persius which retails for about 2.5k and could be worn underneath your trousers. In case if you pick up one first do let me know your feedback!

          Happy shopping and ride safe

I've used the Perseus Knee Guards for a couple of long rides. They're good, once you have done the adjustments. There's slight discomfort for the 1st hour or so, post which it's fine.

How are SCOYCO knee guards? i tried on a pair and they fit good, and seemed like good quality. Are they worth it?

                Hey Krishna,

The jacket is always good, when you are on the move. In stop go trafic i fidnt feel too much hot, however you can still manage. Also, i got mesh inside a bit torned. I suggesr you compare the Air GT mayerial with this and take a decision. I havent usedtge AirGT, so i am not sure about that.

                Thanks

I have Aspida Phaeton Gloves which dont work for winter rides.. On the rides I have been to in winters, my hands froze to an extent where I thought they would break off

My budget is around 1.5-2k, I have only seen Cramster Tundra, are there any other options?

Can someone please recommend a decent pair of knee guards in the price range of 3-4k which would go well with full-length riding boots?
The ones I'm using go partly inside the boot (as in the picture below, apologies for adding it in a new post as I forgot to do so while writing this one) which becomes a bit uncomfortable on account of restricting foot movement (which does not happen when I'm wearing just the boots). Plus, I've noticed that the knee guards have been rubbing against the inner lining of the boot and I do not wish to depreciate my boots that fast. :P
